Thanks guys! @ssm24k I’m sure you’ll hear back soon!
@VanessaNuno Congrats! I actually did cry a little when I saw that message haha yay!
@thenick0999
I second the lack of history major admits as of yet!
@avery760 I’m not going to lie, I did too
Hey! How do you know your TAG was voided?
@VanessaNuno I listed a random elective spring class as “planned” on my TAG but it didn’t work with my schedule so I changed it to a different class. I emailed my cc’s UCSC rep about it and she said:
“Any change in your fall or spring schedule will void a TAG agreement. However, our campus will review your application and as long as you are still meeting the requirements, we will be able to offer you admission.”
I took it to mean that although it was technically void, they would still honor my TAG because I met the requirements. Strange, but I’m not complaining
Hey guys, did you get a email for financial aid and to check your to do list? I got this.
"LARGE PARENT AGI and WAGE DIFFERENCE
The parent(s) wages you reported on your FAFSA differ significantly from their overall adjusted gross income. Large differences between adjusted gross income and parent wages may affect your eligibility for campus based aid, including university grant. Please review your FAFSA information and ensure your parent(s) adjusted gross income and their income from wages are accurate per the information on their federal tax return and wage statements (i.e., W-2, 1099).
If this information is correct, no further action is necessary.
If this information is not correct, please login to your FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov, and make the needed corrections.
Campus based funds are limited. Please note your official financial aid offer could differ pending future verification of tax information by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office."
Do I call them? When I did the FASFA I used the IRS Data Retrieval tool, that should be correct right?
Anyone is still waiting for UCSC transfer decision with electrical engineering major? Thank you.
I still haven’t heard anything from UCSC but I’m not sweating it because I already was accepted to UCSB. I just want more options tbh. How are they releasing decisions, by the way? Every night at midnight?
@100789 what is your major?
Ok guys so I called UCSC financial aid office regarding my previous comment (I will repost it so you guys don’t have to look back.) and the lady told me that that message was just to make sure we double check our fafsa form and make sure the numbers are correct. I used the IRS Data Retrieval tool so i’m pretty good on that part. Im a dependent.
Here is the original post.

@tuyenvo13emhs Psychology
Hey everyone I just got accepted! Yay!
GPA: 3.17
Major: Sociology
TAG: Yes; but it was voided due to the fact I completely changed my spring schedule (added classes that were more relevant to my major).
IGETC: Yes! Will be done by this Spring
Prereqs: Yes, finishing them up this semester.
Ahh, I was worried because they had sent me an email on Monday asking if if was possible for me to add another unit this semester because I didn’t have enough to transfer as a junior. I couldn’t stop crying. I emailed them notifying them that both my counselor and I had reviewed my units and I actually will have enough to transfer by the end of Spring. They then emailed me saying that I was correct and to disregard their previous message. So scary!
Anywhooo I’m so excited and grateful to have gotten in!
Is anyone planning on taking a campus tour anytime soon? or going to any events? I’m in San Francisco and am thinking about attending a few!
Btw, I’m pretty sure that now they will be sending out notifications more frequently so hang in there everyone!!!
I was admitted!
When: Decision around 1AM ish, March 31st?
Major: Mathematics (Computational)
GPA: 3.93-3.94 ish
W’s: around 6 at the time (have somewhat of an explanation, not necessarily the strongest though)
IGETC: hopefully done by spring
Prereqs: done by spring (taking Discrete Math)
EC’s: Programming job over last summer, engineering club (changed majors), volunteering in high school
PS: 4/10 (not the greatest personal statement)
TAG: Tagged to UCD
Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCSD (top choice), UCD, UCSC, UCSB
Admitted: UCSB, UCSC
Rejected: None
@Mznl8090 @testingthis Congrats to you both!
Congrats you guys!! @Mznl8090 @testingthis
So Im filling out the SIR (not going to submit until I hear back from other colleges) but I am having a difficult time choosing my five options for UCSC colleges. Anyone else? What are your options?
@Mznl8090 Your tag can be voided if you change classes then what your previously listed? I tagged to SB and I switched around my schedule slightly from what I provided to them in the fall… Nothing major though, just changed the science GE I was taking and added another class.
@topchoiceschool Every school that offers TAG has different TAG requirements, not all of them have rules against switching your Spring schedule. Go over your TAG agreement on your UC TAP page to see what your TAG contract entails.
