Were those classes required for your major or for GE/IGETC?
Still no word either way… the longer it goes the more I worry
It’s for IGETC. I failed precalculus with a D last quarter and I’m retaking it now. I was supposed to take business calc right now but I moved it over to spring quarter.
@Shytstorm Hey! Thank you for the reassurance about my mixed credits! It helps me feel a ton better and less anxious! Still haven’t gotten a response either. Also, congrats on your engagement!
Future lawyers on cc i have a question.
Can you sue a school (ucsc in this case) for causing imense anxiety and stress? :’(
I am going crazy waiting for UCSC to post their results! The anxiety is killing me. After already having been accepted into SJSU and SFSU the longer I wait for a response the less hopeful I become. :-??
I’m in!!!
My stats if anyone’s curious:
Major: Anthropology
GPA: 3.45
IGETC: Will be complete by this semester
TAG: UCSC
Pre-reqs: Completed fall 2016
Applied: Chico State, UCSD, UCSC
Accepted: UCSC
EC: I went to an archaeology field school during summer 2015 and 2016, volunteered as a docent for the FCC Anthropology museum for 3 semesters, volunteered in the FCC archaeology lab, got my Archaeological Technician Certificate in fall 2016, became a California site steward in 2016, currently working at Caltrans District 6 in the Cultural Resources branch as a student assistant, and I’m also a lab assistant for the Biological Anthropology Lab class at FCC.
Good luck to you all! Maybe I’ll see some of you guys on campus one day.
Congrats @anthropologeez !! Did you just get in this morning??
I just checked after I saw your post but I’m still pending. But it’s good to know they’re still sending some out.
Site crashed.
My portal is down
Hi all! I know you want stats for accepted students. Found out on 3/17 but didn’t have time to post until now!
Major: Global Economics
GPA: 3.74
Major GPA: 4.0
IGETC: yes
TAG: no (TAG’d @ UCSB)
Pre-reqs: completed Spring 2017
Applied: UCSC, UCSB, UCB, UCI, UCLA
Rejected: not yet
Accepted:UCSC
portal is down for me, too:
“We’re sorry, the page you requested is temporarily unavailable. This may be due to a large number of users accessing the system. Please try again later”
lol
It is so frustrating that I put a lot of emotional effort into preparing myself to be rejected on the 17th, and now it’s being dragged out for more than a month.
FYI UCB notifies all transfer on one single day. Our applications were submitted IN NOVEMBER, why are they still in the decision making process?
USC doesn’t notify until June 1st, imagine having that as your number one choice
Had a really meta-dream about checking my portal last night but I’m not sure if I actually checked it while sleepwalking or not, and right when I want to check of course the portal has crashed
I’m hoping the crash means they’re inputting some decisions, but with our luck probably not.
Portal is back up, no change
@lessthanepsilon Same
I want to understand the UC’s and their admissions process but I’m emotionally done with them dragging out admission decisions lol
A counselor at UC Davis that also goes through applications told me that she goes through applications from community colleges that she got assigned to, then after she goes through an application and decides, a second person does the same. Then they talk about a decision. That’s just UC Davis, could be different or similar for Santa Cruz.
