It is a bit frustrating that it all has to be such a mystery.
@Nataliee177 I checked my portal at 11:30 last night and lo and behold, the greeting message was different. I thought I was hallucinating for a second. I still feel like I’m in a dream lol.
@anthropologeez Well thanks for your response and Congrats! Happy for you

Grats!
I have a 3.8 cum GPA and am applying for ANTH, one of their least impacted majors. Someone here with a 3.4 has already heard back for ANTH and received an acceptance. Does anyone know what the order is that they are reviewing these applications? Also I received an NP (not passing) in a math class last quarter (my school is on quarter system) which I have a 96% in this quarter (my quarter ends this Thursday. Kinda hard to screw it up now). Personal extenuating circumstances and a poor teacher were really to blame. I guess this might have raised a huge red flag for them? GE will still be finished in time for transfer. I’m just really shocked I haven’t heard anything yet. I’ve been really active in my community, started an art club at my school, did an internship, was secretary for the Anthropology club, my club helped organize a #NODAPL event on campus, I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I just really want to go to school here and I am disappointed that they are making me wait so long. I’ve worked so hard this year and it will crush me if they deny me. I applied to Berkeley and Davis too but I just want to go to Santa Cruz. San Diego is also a distant second choice for me and they still won’t tell me what’s going on either I wish they would just say something already
I am an anthropology major and I haven’t heard from them either. So I don’t know exactly their format we will have to wait and see
Major: Computer Science

Actually I made a big mistake that I didnt TAG for UCSC. Hope to get in UCSC
Is there anyone in here have a TAG on UCSC and still do not hear anything yet???
“Transfer Days” aren’t scheduled until April 14-15 according to the website…so don’t give up hope. Seems that gives them a little more time to continue with sorting through the applications. I don’t believe that they have a waitlist for transfers. I seem to remember that it was stated that they only waitlist freshmen.

ROFL
@calmom17 Last year they were admitting transfers well past those dates. Students were being admitted well into May. Even if you don’t hear back by then, you still might get accepted. It’s anyones guess. UCSC seems pretty good about lagging waaaaay behind in regards to processing applications.
I got accepted last night like past midnight! Last name E.

I’ve had some pretty rough years and basically the only thing I have going for me is I’m a CCC applicant and I feel my insights were strong >_<. I’ve been taking classes for quite a while now(8 semesters) and I really just want to transfer now.
I’ve seen in the UC infocenter transfer statistics a decent number of people in my gpa range have been admitted in previous years(2016 info is up too now fyi). I understand that there is probably a less than 1% chance of being admitted for CS, but does anyone think/know if they admit me as an undeclared. Let me know how much trouble im in or if you think I have the slightest chance.
