UCSC TAG does not guarantee major?

I didnt know this and TAGed with them last night! Can I withdrawal my tag and tag with another school??? Will other school know? lol Im so upset I didnt read it clearly. I shouldnt have rushed through it.

I don’t think any of the UC’s guarantee admission to the major, only the campus. Except maybe Merced lol but who wants to go there?

I don’t think you can withdraw a TAG application, at least not from home if you really want to do that you may be able to but you would have to go to the specific campus and explain to them what happened and see if they will allow you to withdraw it. BTW you can still TAP to UCLA and UCB even if you’ve TAG’ed to another campus.

For UCSC, major guarantee depends on what major you are applying for.

Luckyclucky: Does that mean you can apply for a TAG with those majors and get accepted to a TAG and the campus?

Or does that mean if accepted you are guaranteed full
Major standing at the selected campus or what…?

@herstory- you can withdraw your TAG app and resubmit. I don’t recall exactly where on the transfer admin planner it’s located, but it’s not too hard to find. I know Irvine TAG guarantees major.

What’s your backup UC?

Only some majors are not guaranteed with TAG. It’s usually the impacted majors.

From the 2014-2015 UC TAG Matrix

“Yes for all majors in the Jack Baskin School of Engineering. Yes for these additional majors: Business Management Economics; Economics; Global Economics, Economics/Mathematics (combined major); Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Biology; Ecology and Evolution; Human Biology; Marine Biology; Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology; Neuroscience; Plant Sciences; Psychology.”
