UCSC Transfer--Summer classes

In the UCSC transfer guidelines page it clearly says:

No more than two courses may be completed in a summer term prior to fall transfer if those units are needed to reach the 60 semester/90 quarter unit minimum needed for eligibility.

My question is--is there a unit mimimum ie can I take 2 classes totalling 9 units? Does anyone know?

Well, are you behind in credits and haven’t reached the 60semester/90quarter requirement? That limit they posted is for students who didn’t reach the 60/90 unit requirement and are trying to use the summer to finally try to achieve it. So if you are ok on units, just disregard that note they posted. If not, then I believe there is no actual “minimum”, but rather the maximum of 2 courses. Nearly every course at UCSC is 5 credits each, so you would most likely take 10 credits if you enroll in 2 courses (not counting labs).

I am 4 short on units–but have 3 in bio AP-which means 8 qtr units according to their ap credit information and i will be taking 2 courses in summer

Then you will be fine.

Thanks a bunch
