Is anyone interested in flying to SD (for the admit day presentation) from the bay area? I’m planning to leave for SD early on Saturday and to leave from SD around 5 or 6. I think the cost of flight would be around $250. If anyone is interested, please contact me! Thanks.

Um... round trip tickets are less than $100. (like 99 or something)

My frined from berkeley came to LA to visit and his ticket was 99ish.. (round trip)

So uhh... don't get ripped off? :) good luck and good triop!

they are $100 if you book early. 6 days before april 9th, you can only get tix for around the price blurbrok listed

yes indeed breakaway. roundtrip tickets would have been $100 if I had reserved them in mid march. but since it's not mid march (and because the admit day is less than 1 week away) the prices have gone up. if you do find tickets that are more reasonable than $250 please feel free to tell me.

btw breakaway, i think you sent me a message. which warren college presentation are you going to? (there are 3 i think). i'll hopefully see you there!

Just drive!

blurbrok-i am actually a muir college acceptee

i would drive except SD is about 8 hours away from me. i have a senior retreat next week and i wont get home til late on april 8th, so it's more reasonable for me to fly down

I live in the SF Bay Area, and originally I was planning to drive down there and stay in a hotel room.

I'm not going there anymore because I got accepted into Cal.

Great to know nanday. HurricaneH, I'm guessing that you're either traveling with someone or you have some experience driving in LA traffic. I, on the other hand, am not as fortunate as you. Hence the fact that I'm traveling by myself (and am in want of someone to travel with). I dont know if youre from the bay area (or even farther north) but it's a trip that lasts about 10 hrs. Driving is a possibility, but it requires 2 days of travel. that's why im not driving.

its an 8 hour trip if u drive fast, haha. if u're just going alone, u might not want to bother going down there. i don't think it'll be worth a $250 plane ticket. i for one am driving down with my dad at 8 pm on friday (we both have work till then). we're stopping to sleep for a few hours before LA, and then driving the rest of the way early in the morning. we're coming home saturday afternoon because i have work sunday morning at 8. basically, we'll be on the road longer than we'll be in san diego. lol. it'll be fun, though.

i am actually flying down their with a friend and depending on the time u depart and return ticket prices will vary. for me i got roundtrip through southwest for 186.40 BUT i leave at 640am on friday and comeback 650am sunday.....so that blows. i am from san jose btw.

one cool thing is that me and my friend are gonna stay with someone in their dorm (sleeping bags) so we will get to experience what it is like. hopefully the trip will let me decide if traveling to socal is worth it over davis which is 2 hours from home.

If you guys see a guy wearing a Rocklin water polo sweatshirt say hi... See you guys tomorrow maybe

im gonna drive their tonight and just sleep in the car till morning

lol blurbrok, just do it and come.
I visited Cal from LA area on a day trip yesterday.

It really is worth the investment.

damnit, have to wake up early tomorrow >_<

long 20 minute drive awaits me >_<

HurricaneH, I feel your pain x(

back from admit day! fun!

wooo still in the hotel at sd. admit day wasn't too shabby

pretty cool :)

couple of fine ladies ;)

Awesome day in SD. You gotta love that big chicken.

I went to SD today and LA yesterday... now I have NO idea who I'm gonna give my SIR...
