@crockmom One of my classmates actually got a UCSB reception. I was talking to her about my UCSD reception and she brought it up. She didnāt think much of it at all actually but I believe it is equivalent to an acceptance.

@alphabetatrig If you have been following this thread for the past 2 pages, everyone here posted that they had access so, as a result, it indeed is available to everyone and UCSD had a slip up. Highly unlikely that everyone here got accepted imo.
Guys, I donāt think this means anythingā¦ Not one person on here is unable to access housing, so this is probably just a glitch on UCSDās part. 
The ability to āSearch Avaliable Roomatesā is a bit disconcertingā¦

@10s4life I feel the same. I have good stats for UCSD but applying for engineering probably puts me way down at the bottom of the pool
What exactly is the point of the reception? I got called on Saturday and while Iām ecstatic about it, UCSD is not my first choice. I donāt want to miss anything important at the reception though if I decide to go to SD. Iām not sure if I should attend it?

@10s4life @mash97 Same. I applied MECHe with a 2230 and 4.2 UC GPA and havenāt received any phone calls, tour invitations, or reception invites. Makes me wish I applied for a less competitive major.

Butā¦ I can vouch that my personal statements and ECās were unique and told my story about my CS hobbies. I also took part in a CS class at UCR and a CS internship.
So I was really surprised when I received the VIP tour email and reception email since CS is super-uber competitive. I was actually expecting to be rejected from UCSD and accepted to UCLA and possibly Berkeley since I applied to the College of L&S for CS for both schools.
Yall are very competitive. Iām sure you engineering applicants will get admitted.
So after looking at last yearās thread it seems like decisions came out around 12 noon on the second Friday of March
