@Cunningsloth happy to share what I found. It is entirely possible some transfers will hear this weekend, I just want to know when because literally college acceptances are SO DISTRACTING
@sleepychickens Yeah that was rough. My SAT/ACT math scores were fairly low so I figured I’d be a borderline accept/waitlist applicant but this time around I also feel that I’m more of a competitive applicant. Hopefully we all hear back soon
if anyone is curious about the posts I am talking about from last year here is the link (#193 is the first one)

@skyinthesky right? Couldn’t they just like… tell us the potential release times so I’m not sitting at my computer all day lol
I don’t think we will be hearing this month.
I think I’ve gotten one hour of schoolwork done today. Cmon UCSD I have second semester grades to maintain…
@skyinthesky I think those were emails, which typically get sent out later than admissions decisions are released. Most people find out after checking their email so I don’t think it was necessarily that they were admitted on Saturday- they were just made aware of the decision on Saturday.
@gonewiththeair all of those admitted today reported receiving an email to check their updated portal. If they got in earlier, then why did like 6 posts mention getting accepted on Saturday around 11am-12pm
@skyinthesky Do you know if the email just says “check your portal” as opposed to a congrats can I assume I got rejected? (I haven’t gotten anything btw) but I’m just curious…and terrified.
@skyinthesky I’m going off of when I applied as a freshman- I don’t think I got an email telling me to check my portal until later that night/the next morning. It’s probably different this year though so I don’t know.
Did anyone apply to SDSU and get in? I feel like SDSU isn’t accepting anyone lol… It’s ok once we get accepted here, SDSU will be shaking
My best friend applied to SDSU under kinesiology and got rejected
@sleepychickens I found this on the freshmen thread
the email said the following: UC San Diego has posted a status update to your Applicant Portal. Please take a moment to check your status.
so do not assume you are rejected. The only place freshman saw congrats was in their portals, not in the emails
@skyinthesky thank you for easing my anxieties, kind internet person
of course! @sleepychickens I am always happy to help my fellow students
Guys, I’m freaking out I just submitted my Statement of Legal Residency Long Form today, since I didn’t know how to answer some of the questions a couple of months ago, and completely forgot about it until now. UCSD says that they need it before they can finish the review of your application. Will submitting it at the last minute hurt my chances?
@cfontaine I do not know how much it will affect you, but if there are early admissions you might not be a part of that batch of acceptances (since only those who are accepted early were reviewed earlier in the year) I would not worry too much though
@cfontaine same here!!! the thing got sent to my spam mail -_-. Looks like they msged me about it two days ago tho, so I don’t think it would negatively affect us. Usually when it’s something like that, it’ll say that not handing it in will jeopradize your chances, blah blah
@ericbadmon Yeah, it went to my spam folder too! They’ve been emailing me every week since January 24, though. I hope you guys are right about it not being a big deal!
