@dahworst my bf got an email from our cc (we’re local) saying we should start hearing from UCSD the week of the 18th. We were supposed to have a UCSD rep come to campus today but instead they are coming the 25th because we’re supposed to be getting decisions this week. Since UCSD is right up the street, we’re pretty positive that memo came straight from admissions to our cc.

i think the best thing for us to do is to see if the portal goes down sometime today, aren’t decisions usually posted after a portal goes down?

@OhWhatsHerName Exactly, go into a seedy bar and we’ll find ourselves a hacker, like in the movies, and be the heroes who got decisions early for everyone, we can add that under ECs for grad school apps as… incentive lol
I’m totally okay with going to UCSD, I like being near the beach, I just need decisions, something right now, bad week.
ucsd is my #2, but ucla is my #1 by so much if i get accepted into ucla i will SIR within the minute of my acceptance lmao
i agree with @OhWhatsHerName … i just NEED to move on!!! this is like having feelings for an ex LOL @hailey5799 hopefully there’s a change in our portal today… if not, we have friday to look forward to!

Hey, as we get closer to the admissions release date I become more nervous. Will someone please chance me? I don’t normally like posts like this but I’m constantly going back and forth in my head of being confident then doubting myself. UCB is my number one choice, then UCLA, then UCSD (born in SD and want to move away).
GPA: 3.75
Major GPA: 4.0
Major: Slavic Languages/Lit. also labeled Russian Studies at certain schools.
CA Resident for CCC
Prerequisite: Complete, however my Russian courses don’t articulate over for UCB or UCLA
IGETC: Complete in Spring
EC: Work full time and completed one year in AFROTC
Essays: 10/10
Applied: UCB, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB
Accepted : UCSB
Waiting to hear: UCB, UCLA, and UCSD
Yeah definitely could not be until Friday but we just thought it was interesting they said the week of the 18th, not 16th. I think someone else on the thread said one of their counselors or something said to start checking on the 18th too.
@inspiredbysleep I’m going to assume that your major is not that popular and have few applicants, right?

@inspiredbysleep If your gpa and essay is amazing and there are only few applicants, then you should have a chance!! Try to breath and relax, you have a good chance of getting in
