thought ucsd would have the admissions posted this morning once I woke up but nada
UCLA is releasing on the 25th, insider says. Hopefully UCSD is same or before.
You guys, I’m thinking that UCSD is waiting to release on the same day as UCLA since they did that for the freshman this year…
Can someone call and ask? They might have an answer for us now.
I hope it’s today.
Follow up on my comment about UCs setting a single PRE-ANNOUNCED date for declaring results.
Just look at the evidence on CC:
UCSD Transfer Thread: 91 pages so far.
UCLA Transfer Thread: 102 pages so far.
UCB Transfer Thread: only 31 pages.
Most of the pages in UCSD and UCLA are filled with messages speculating over the date when the result will be out. There are only a few such messages on UCB site because they indicated a concrete date Apr 27th on their portal.
@cricketfan That’s not evidence. You’re making an assumption that the uncertainty in dates is the primary reason why UCB has so little pages. UCB has always had nearly half of the page amount UCLA has, even before all the date uncertainty.
admissions doesnt open till 9, if theres nothing there i might call
@RamenNoooodle to be fair it’s not a bad analysis the past 40 pages are mostly people freaking out about the decision date
Whenever it is, I hope it comes quick! It’s consuming me that I even dream about it! I had a dream last night that I got waitlisted for SD :))
am i the only one who feels really close to y’all… cause man… this sure has been a lot. it’s just been a lot
@Twenmi thats why UCB page is so short… they told us when theyre deciding!
did you end up calling? if so, any word?
i called but had poor connection, going to call after my class
@ericbadmon Yeah that’s what I figured too, that they would put more emphasis on what you do in upper div., I plan to do research and intern at places so I can make myself a bit of a stronger applicant too. Just kinda sucks that I’ll have to go through this all over again but hey whatever it takes.
@RamenNoooodle No the UCB thread is so short because of lack of speculation over dates, I’m on that thread, the UCLA and UCSD threads are three times as long because of speculation of dates.
@ericbadmon yeah you can check it out https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/fall-enrollment-glance
You can see californians made up 89% of the UC system until 2009 is where it starts to decline rapidly compared from 1999 to 2008, so the recession really drained the funds from the UC system.
Ahhhh please let us know after you call! And I hope it isnt that misinformative lady that said decisions would be out friday.
The suspense is killing me!!
Why the h#ll are UCs accepting more international students (I know why just fyi) we pay taxpayer dollars in california to support these schools, we should be priority, not 77 percent, we should make up close to 90 percent, and 10 percent everyone else, this is ridiculous! They’re not private universities, they’re public, we pay for them, we should be the priority!
