UCSD False Acceptance email 2011

Dear Faizan,</p>

<p>Congratulations on your admission to UC San Diego and the Jacobs School of Engineering! </p>

<p>If you weren't able to make it to Admit Day 2011, check out this video of Dean Frieder Seible giving an overview of our programs.</p>

<p>On 26th April 2011, They say...
Dear Faizan Masood,</p>

<p>Yesterday, April 25th, 2011, you received an e-mail from the Jacobs School of Engineering titled "Video from Admit Day 2011". We sincerely apologize for the confusion as this e-mail was intended for freshman admits. You will receive an official notification of your admission status, as a transfer student applicant, from the Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools (OARS). Please continue to check MyApplication between now and April 30th, for your official decision.</p>

<p>I mean WHATS WRONG WITH UCSD? The 26th April 2011 email just simply IGNORES the fact that the email specifically mentioned that i got into UCSD's Engineering School. I've already told my parent, relatives that i got in. Getting rejected would be really heart breaking! This is really cruel for students!</p>

<p>That stinks. It’s happened before over the last few years with UC.</p>

<p>So many students, so many email merge programs. Cruel, indeed. </p>

<p>Although I’m not the one received those emails, but I was freaked out also (thought that admission was out and I got rejected). As we’re on the same boat waiting for admission, I really understand your situation, Faizan… </p>

<p>UCSD make this error in 2009. Not once, but twice!</p>

<p>Sorry, but until you get an official acceptance I don’t see why you would go around telling people?! Obviously transfer decisions haven’t come out yet</p>

<p>If you don’t get the “Welcome to UC San DIego” image under MyApplication your not in so check that first. i understand that UCSD is known for errors but your tritonlink portal is your most reliable piece of information about everything</p>
