UCSD; No IGETC; 6 colleges

Hi everyone.
If I transfer to UCSD with a sociology major and partial IGETC with only one igetc class missing, does that mean I pretty much won't have a chance at Muir, Marshall, Warren, or Sixth? I really don't want Roosevelt or Revelle. The GE's are ridiculous. I'm not a science major. Please someone answer my questions. Anyone get into UCSD Muir, Marshall, Warren, or sixth without IGETC?

Thanks everyone. Xoxo

Because each of the 6 UCSD colleges has their own separate GE requirements, IGETC isn’t as important at UCSD as it is at some of the other UCs. If your GPA is high enough to be competitive and you have completed your major prerequisites you should have a good chance of getting in.

were so alike…

LOL I really dont want to get into Roosevelt and revelle just because I’m Partial igetc certified

IGETC really doesn’t have anything to do with college placement.

Also, if you get placed in a college you don’t want to be placed in, you should immediately request a swap upon acceptance. I did and got out of ERC.

Thank you guys for responding. Seriously I appreciate it. Have a safe and happy new yea

OH by the way, how did you chance colleges!? Did you call UCSD and ask them to change it?

I have just really recently started looking at UCSD. I don’t really get the 6 colleges. Would someone be able to give a bit of a breakdown of each?

I wish I could help but I’m clueless too. There are so many threads. I didn’t take the time to read about it lol
