UCSD or UCD?

I have been accepted to Biochemistry at UCSD (Muir) and Cell Biology at UCD. If I ultimately attend UCD, then I plan to change my major to Biochemistry as well.

I would eventually like to attend graduate school for Dentistry which is not available at either school. UCSD seems a bit more competitive so I'm worried about my admittance into a dentistry school in the future if I receive poor grades at UCSD, but it has always been my dream school. UCD seems like I may have a greater chance of doing better academically (I'm not quite sure if that's true- easier classes than UCSD?), but it's very close to home and I've never been interested in attending UCD. I would also save money by living at home if I attend UCD, but I would lose the college experience.

So the question is- Which university should I attend?

Thanks for your help!

UCSD and Davis were my two top choices when I was deciding where to go so maybe I can be of some assistance. Here’s what I’ll say about classes. I was talking to somebody from UC Riverside about our Intro to American Politics classes and her’s was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder than ours. Ours was an easy A. In her’s they actually learned stuff. So really I kinda feel like it goes class by class. Davis is highly ranked, UCSD is highly ranked, the classes will most likely be similar. I’m assuming you’ve been to Davis multiple times but have you visited UCSD yet? If not, do it for sure. Overall I would say pick the university you feel most comfortable at like you’ll want to be there for 4 years. I can’t speak on the financial side of living at home, but if you really want to go to UCSD, then I would say, go here.
