UCSD & Revelle College Unite

YEAHHHH Revelle hahaa and UCSD yeahhh who is going to Revelle? lets start this thread and make it last!

come on people lol!

Muir in da house!

so is Revelle really the most difficult?

i applied for revelle as first and got rejected =/

muir is the best
lowest acceptance rate, best requirements
who cares if revelle is harder, the point was to get into ucsd and have fun, not work your a5s off all the time

yep revelle!!!!!!!
for shizzie
90% sure going there

haha nice whos gonna dorm at revelle though?

yep dorm at revelle... if i go there.... most likely

I guess I'll join in here, I'm into Revelle!

allena.. but r u gonna go + live in the dorms?

I wish I could! Coming in as a transfer and they don't offer me housing. Because of that it's looking like I'm likely going to have to turn UCSD down...

Revelle Right Hereeee fosho

most likely going unless i get into cornell or berk

"so is Revelle really the most difficult?"

Revelle rightly earns its reputation for demanding the most burdensome set of general education requirements. Congratulations on your acceptances but lamentably Revelle selected you.

From the website:

" Graduation Requirements

I.

The University Requirements

A. University of California Entry Level Writing Requirement (formerly Subject A)

B. American History and Institutions

II.

Revelle General Education Requirements

A. Math - completion of a third quarter course in calculus [If you took AP Calculus then you will be recommended to take Math 20b - meaning you have two math courses.]

B. Natural Science - five courses to include four courses in chemistry and physics, and one course in biology [****!]

C. Humanities - a five course sequence

D. American Cultures - one course

E. Social Science - two courses from the same department

F. Fine Arts - one course

G. Foreign Language - proficiency [If you completed 3 years of language then probably an extra class will suffice]

H. Area of Focus - three courses (or seven course optional minor)

III.

Major

IV.

184 units (192 units required for some engineering majors) [The college actually demands a higher minimum number of units for graduation than the university!!! ****!]
No more than one-fourth of your total UCSD course units may be taken on a P/NP basis.

V.

60 upper division units (15 courses)"

yeah revelle is the hardest...because of the massive amount of GEs compared to other colleges...and revelle's food sucks...and the dorms suck if you get stuck in a fleet...but the good thing is...100.0mbps internet speed in the fleets! revelle girls are...ehh...NO COMMENT..have a great year everybody =)

yea without a doubt, muir is the best, revelle just has too many GE requiremtents and it seems really unneccessary considering most people in revelle are engineers, who the heck needs 5 humanity cores to be good in math and the sciences? sorry to break it to you guys, but revelle sucks and will make you miserable for your entire college life.

go revelle. bioengineering: pre-med.

i'm applying for the med scholars thing too, but i doubt that'll happen for me since it's 12 people out of the upper 6% of the applicant pool.. that's so crazy.. anyway, i just might end up going to SD if i don't get into berk or stanford..

for bio med go to UCSD instead of Berkley GO REVELLE!

hey so i got into revelle as well, but when i applied to ucsd...i kinda didnt know about the 6 colleges....so i randomly chose...cuz i didnt really consider going here....but now that i do....can someone tell me if i made the right first choice for pickin revelle?

Sean 11,

If you picked Revelle first you made a great mistake. Sorry.
