UCSD Science Labs

Hello all,
I recently applied to UCSD with a major in Earth Science-geology. Under prerequisites it has Math 20abcd series, Chem 6abc series, and Phys 2abc series. However, it does not contain the Chem 6BL, or the Physics 2CL. Am I to understand that those classes are the "Lab" portion of the series and that without those requirements I will not have a lab portion for those series'?
That would be great news as I'm sure everyone hates labs. Thanks everyone!

If it isn’t required then you don’t have to do it.

Not everyone hates labs by the way.

Labs are much more fun and much less stressful than any lecture I can remember.

Okay, labs may be enjoyable. My assumption was that labs require a lot of time and work, that may or may not be fundamentally difficult material, while yielding less units/credits than a class (lecture) that requires a similar amount of time. I concede that interesting theories can be tested and labs can be enjoyable.

haha i wouldn’t agree so much on the “interesting theory-testing” portion so much since most of the time you’re trying to demonstrate fundamental principles of bio/chem/physics even through your errors are through the roof. but anyway. you’re still in high school, so all is forgiven.

(labs get less fun once you’re in graduate school. enjoy it while you can.)
