UCSD vs. NYU

<p>I got accepted to UCSD (for transfer) and haven't yet applied for NYU. I had a question.</p>

<p>Should I even apply for NYU? I'm an English major living in California, and I know NYU would be a lot more expensive. I'm for the idea of moving away from home (SD is pretty far from my home), so NYU being far away is not much of a problem. I'd actually like to experience being so near Broadway (I'm also interested in theater), etc., but at this point I'm not really sure if the extra money is worth spending.</p>

<p>Your question is relative to how much value you put in NYC vs La Jolla(or a socially dead campus).</p>

<p>Would you pay 5K, 10K, 15K, 20k or more per year just to be in nyc and possibly a better program(considering USCD's emphasis on the sciences instead of the humanities)?</p>
