@doublepwn I am transfer student, I called admission center today. One lady had very rude attitude to answer my questions. I think if as she said, GPA is top reason for accept, I think I should already admitted. I do not know what’s wrong, she did not want to tell me even. I think people who still on the waitlist, we need to think about backup plan, like Ms Sun’ blog, the school wants to benefit themselves or not benefit student.
@gointergrals I do have a backup plan. It’s just I don’t know if I should move forward with my backup (e.g. buy plane tickets, sign up for orientation, etc.) as it can cost me more than the SIR deposit.

the reason that it’s taking so long is that the UCs just passed some sort of budget thing. It passed recently, and because it passed they can take more students than they originally thought they could. So they lagged the decisions in case it passed.
I was offered transfer waitlist for Fall 2015 and I opted-in and wrote the small essay. But my UCSD myapplication account says “The deadline to opt in to the waitlist passed on May 15. We wish you success in the pursuit of your educational goals.”.
Did I somehow not submit it, and I’m not on the waitlist? What does everyone elses say.
@eshkidd I don’t think it submitted. Mine says waitlist confirmation on the top of the page and just says that I have opted in. It doesn’t say what yours says.

no… im really couldnt care anymore. plus, i feel uc davis is a much more relaxing campus that sd so im fine with going to davis!
Okay, someone who I had in my Calculus 3 over the summer told me he got off the waitlist for UCSD and got into his selected Math major. I’m still on the waitlist and my major was already listed as impacted when I applied. I’m curious to see if I get in, but there’s no way I’m going since I went all in pretty much for state and paid everything…
I guess I got in, but as my alternate major. The problem with being waitlisted is you can’t rely on getting in and end up focusing on where you did. It’s nice to see the email and eventually receive the packet in the mail though!

Dang…I am really starting to think that what they say about GPA being deciding factor to get in is total BS. i have a 3.4 gpa as transfer student and I still have not heard yet… 
@Alexcider Even though you got in, are you still planning to not go to UCSD?
@adumbdang Pretty much. I already have housing and orientation, etc. for myself at san diego state. Also I got into my first choice major.

did any engineering majors get in? not including computer science majors… are any engineering majors gonna get in?
@iamjack I originally applied as an engineering major but was admitted for my alt major June 12th. Wish you the best! Hope you get in where you hope to!
@iamjack I applied as Mechanical Engineering for 1st choice and Physics major for 2nd (didnt want two impacted majors). I have a 3.4 gpa (according to them) and I am out of state. I have not heard yet I am also missing Calc 3 and Linear Algebra.
@iamjack They told me the cut off for my major was 3.55, so I thought going into the waitlist with a 3.4 would be a good shot even for my 2nd major. Looks like I was wrong
