UD Catch A Ride

Anyone have any experience using the UD Catch A Ride? Seems a good choice for travel to NYC for Thanksgiving (esp. since Amtrak leaves Newark while D is still in class). Even so, with recent accidents involving shoddy charter bus services, I am a bit anxious about this. Appreciate feedback.

I fully endorse UD Catch a Ride. DD used it a few times last year (Thanksgiving, Spring Break, even going back in Feb when I was worried about driving back in bad weather).

I have concerns with buses on the NJ Turnpike but have to put that aside as it is MUCH more convenient than Amtrak for DD. Cost is better too. I just made reservation for DD to use it for Thanksgiving break/roundtrip.

Is UD Catch a Ride different from Bus Bookie? My D used Bus Bookie to get back after Thanksgiving '09. She complained because they used a school bus.

We think Catch-a-Ride is great too. Have used it for my daughter and been very pleased with service, responsiveness and safety. It’s not Bus Bookie.

LINYMom, I commute on an MTA bus on the NJ Turnpike every day. I have my concerns, as well.

M880354: I’ve never heard of Bus Bookie, but I can assure you that Catch a Ride uses coach buses, not school buses.

My D used Catch-a-Ride and it was fine. however, they’re leaving campus too early for her for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know anything about Bus Bookie? They are leaving later, but I want to be sure it’s safe.
Thanks!
