Anyone know when notices for UD Distinguished Scholars will be sent?
Anyone know when they have arrived in past years? I assume all of them are sent out in one group since there are only ~100.
It seems like it is taking UD more time this year to get acceptance notices out and I wonder if this will affect the DiScho stuff.
I was wondering this too anyone know when it has come out in the past?
My D was accepted to the Disco program last year. She received the letter later in Jan and the Disco weekend was in March. Excellent program - she’s there now and couldn’t be happier.

My D is going. Staying over just the 1 night. We are OOS.
We were hoping for an invite, but alas did not receive one. That makes the OOS tuition unaffordable with the scholarship level already offered, so UDel is off D’'s list. Lovely school and excellent program, I know a few alums who loved it there. Good luck to those heading down to the scholarship weekend!
Is there only one round of notification for Distinguished Scholars? DS was just accepted yesterday, both the University and the Honors Program. Wondering if there’s a rolling notification about Distinguished Scholars for those admitted after the first round.
@mtown27 I am not sure, but I thought all Distinguished Scholar invites went out at the same time. Maybe not. Responses are due in ~2 weeks to attend the weekend on March 11-12. Good luck.

Daughter is a freshman in DiScho program and enjoying her time at UD so far.
I highly recommend that anyone who received an invitation attend the weekend program if at all possible. It might cost your family some money to get the student there, but if you get selected for one of the scholarships on offer, you’re going to save multiples of the cost of transportation to the DiScho Weekend — at the very least. And possibly even get a full ride. Best of luck!
FYI, I think we received daughter’s invitation via snail mail in late Jan/early Feb last year. Once we decided that she would pursue it, we scrambled to find flights…we sent her to UD a few days early from an already planned family Spring Break trip.
D’s invitation came today via email. Not sure why they didn’t all go out on the same day, but she is happy to have it!!!

Just got my Distinguished Scholar notification! Did not expect that at all, but am extremely grateful… I realize there’s about 100 offers, but how many scholarships are actually awarded at the end of the day?
@stellacastor everyone invited will be offered 22-23k minimum per year (~70 people receive this). ~20 win 28-30k per year, and 10 win full rides (~46-47k per year). Congrats!

@CDK I’m in-state, 22-23k would be about a full ride for me OMG! Unless in-state offers are different…?
