The stuff you say is very interesting yet it has many inconsistencies and the links you provide don’t say much.

In regards to the 1300 or higher but rejected thread, I see:

“Our Valedictorian has a 1020 on her SATs, but got accepted to UF for Fall '09. And in case anyone was wondering…she’s not a minority, first-generation, or low-income.”

"Hispanic here.
1360/1600
2000/2400
720M /640 V / 640 R… 7 AP’s… REJECTED!

What’s sad is that kids got in with 1100 SAT’s from my school."

Oh, and that thread you mentioned before with the class of 2013, there’s a white female with a 1100/1750, 25 ACT that got in.

Since this is the claim all of us have in regards to this thread, then the consensus is proven. And if SAT scores are SO important, then why is it that there’s a thread titled 1300 or higher… rejected?"

FYI, that College Board link is inaccurate. Says recommendations and interviews are considered right under the part where it says everything academic is by far the most important.

And finally, going by statistics of the enrolled population, 25% of people that submitted SAT scores scored below a 570 in the reading and 590 in the math and 25% of the people that submitted ACT scores scored below 25. That totals to about 25% of the school population which is around 1,600.

The fact that people with super-high grades and scores get rejected prove that there is in fact a holistic admission process and whether you want to accept it or not depends on you. I will assume you have high grades and scores (honest congrats there), but to disqualify others because you want to make yourself feel better is far more ignorant than what anyone has said thus far (and nobody said that we will all get in).

Good luck in February and I hope it works out.
