Thank you.

haha i think i know ur mom… the place at callo 8 right?

Proud Mom-
I don’t think the college credits were the reason why your son didn’t get accepted. I’m a student now at UF, and I had 29 college credits coming in as a Freshmen. I also have many freshmen friends who had college credits coming in.

Good luck.

yes, is near calle 8, however, do you consider UF as your first choice?

yuppp. what bout u?? my dad told me that u want to go to ivy unv… where did u apply to?

well, UF is also my first choice although I applied to Brown, Yale, Cornell, Harvard and Dartmouth. you know, the worst thing they can say is ''No" but at least i tried. btw your stats are good! my major is the same as yours, i wanna be a doc and you? i think is kind of late for ivy leagues but there are myriads of good schools outside the state.

that is great… what is your SAT scores??? Im not planning in taking them again lol have u take that ACT … I actually hate the SAT

me too! SAT is super bad! i prefer ACT, mine are like 500 in each section, not spectacular but enough to enter to UF. my times of test taker are finished!

Last year nobody from my schools senior class with below a 1300 (M+CR) was admitted.

500 in every section is not enough to enter UF.

^ It’s more than enough if you have lots of ECs and are in the IB Program. Pretty much anyone who stayed awake during class last year got into UF, but that’s most likely because they were all in IB and had at least a 3.0 unweighted and 4.0 weighted GPA.

Really?

Because the freshmen profile demonstrates that those with a 1590 and below get admitted 15.5% percent of the time. And I can assure a large proportion of that 15.5% are recruited athletes.

So stating a 1500 (all sections) is “more than enough” is not true.

You’re somewhat underestimating how hard it is to get into UF without having a hook or being a recruited athlete, you can ask the 17,500 people that were rejected last year.

http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frprofile.html

I’m not under or overestimating anything. I just stated what I know based on observed fact. Any and every senior who stayed awake in class at my school and had at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA got in. But like I said, they’re all IB students.

5 seniors from last year were accepted with the following SAT’s: 1280, 1060, 1090, 1140, 1400. They were #1,3,4,5, and 6 respectively in the class, so I guess that’s what made up for it.
