I’ve read some comments that your major plays a big role in getting accepted into CLAS. How competitive in the economics major there?

I wish I knew how competitive the majors were!

Also, I have a quick question about when you think application updates will be posted for people transferring for the Summer A term? I would hope it would be soon, with school starting May 11th.l

Thanks for your help!

Economics is another major that is offered at all universities. The thing is whether it’s popular or not. Statistics is an example of an unpopular major that wants more people. I can only speculate economics isn’t so popular. Economics mainly plays as the backbone to the business schools…then again what do I know? I would contact the departments advisor and ask.

Spoke with an advisor in the Accounting department today. They will have answers for us at the end of March for who is accepted or not. As for the accounting department they said they will only be accepting about 15 transfers this semester. Is anyone else here transferring into the shchool of accounting?

Thanks everyone!

Tyler

I applied as an accounting transfer. ONLY 15… it’s not looking too good for us…

Michael,

Your sitting good with your GPA though. He said that last semester they were taking people with 3.8’s, which didn’t make me feel too good with my 3.64. BUT, he did say that I had about a 60% chance of getting in, but I think he was just trying to be nice. I’m just going to hope for the best; can 15 other people apply for summer term for accounting, meet all the pre-req’s, and have better then a 3.6 from a good school? I hope not :/

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on how competitive the PHHP college is. I have applied for summer term b to the rehabilitative services department and I’m trying to figure out how many people apply and how many they admit. I am in the same boat as many of you, trying to figure out housing and things of that nature before it’s down to the wire.

Thanks in advance for any help!

accepted into the honors college
4.4 gpa
33 act
lots of ec’s

good essay

doubt ill go though, im from Florida and wanna get outta here haha :)

Does anyone have any idea what effect unpaid parking tickets might have on my transfer application? A friend said they wouldnt matter cause they have no way of connecting my car information to my application. Just looking for some extra information!

What do y’all think…I’m trying to transfer into Biochemistry
Currently at FSU and I’ll have 60 after completing the summer term
My GPA is 3.94 with a 3.66 science GPA, however I came in w/18 credits and my GPA is only based off of one semester. Remarks?

Supposedly, Accepted.

I called the aerospace engineering dept. and was told that I had been accepted since the 18th of february; but when I check my status online it still says that my application has been referred to my college for a final decision.
So yeah, I am still not 100% sure.

Anyways, any prospective transfers planning to live on campus their first semester?

nautilus,
Unpaid parking tickets WON’T have any impact on your transfer application.

People that have been arrested get accepted to UF, hahaha.

way to go eddy. nice job. i’ll probably give them a call tomorrow. I want to visit over spring break, but I don’t think it’s worth the 4 hr drive if I don’t know if I’m even going there.

congratulations eddy! I was hoping to live in campus for the first year, but I want one of the dorms where I can have my own room. Otherwise, I’ll probably just get an apartment if I can’t do that, or maybe i’ll just suck it up and share a room.

Just applied as a Junior Level transfer, though I’m currently a freshman at Washington University in STL
College GPA: 3.59
HS (UF calculated) 4.39
ACT: 32
EC’s are fine

hopefully will get in, though I’ll have taken a total of 33 taken credits here and then I have over 30 from APs. I’m not sure how they’ll consider my credits

hey bearrunner, do you have an AA degree?

vivaladan,
I think I’m going to live on campus, at least for the summer, to meet new people and find a group of friends I really click with.

bearrunner,
Why do you want to transfer to UF from Wash U???

I just applied to transfer for Fall 2010
I go to UCF but trying to get into UF for architecture since UCF doesn’t have it.
I have a 3.6 GPA and with a 4.0 pre-professional GPA for architecture (transient class from VCC).

Do I have a shot of getting in?

application status is down? answers a comin’?

I’m curious as to if that means something, too.
