UF decision 2012 Spring TRANSFER - accepted/denied

nice and yeah that was a really quick response !

Well, that’s discouraging.

deff not ! a lot of ppl get accepted later  let’s keep our heads up!

I’m so glad I came across this thread. I applied on September 7 for Spring 2012 and I keep checking my status. So far they received all documents and it was forward to the specific college (CLAS). I currently have a 3.61 overall and 4.0 pre-prof. Im enrolled in my last 2 pre-prof at the moment. I’m getting mixed messages about completing the pre-prof before entering. Does UF want you to have them all completed or is it cool if you’re currently enrolled in the last of them during your application period?

I’m almost positive it’s okay if your pre reqs are in progress. I sure hope so since I’m taking my last few this semester. My friend got into UF for fall 2011 and she applied in the springtime with pre reqs still in progress!

so I hear they don’t care if u are taking prereqs, but upon admission they will prob tell u that u have to get a “b” or higher and if not, your admission may be revoked.

Okay, so I finally called the College of Business today and asked when I can expect a decision. Apparently because 2 of my prereqs were done through AP credit (calculus and statistics), they only have actual grades for 3 prereqs. So I won’t find out until after they receive my fall transcripts in December. Ugh

Got accepted at the end of August after applying in early July; very happy to have the opportunity to go to UF.
Major: Accounting
Previous School: FL State College
Overall GPA: 4.0
Volunteer Hrs: 0.00
Extracurricular: 2 yrs of work in finance research & analysis

The people on a previous CC UF transfer thread helped me out so thought I should throw this out here just to keep up the great flow of info. All the best to everyone here

thank you j palmer! limited access or no?

congrats jpalmer! Doesn’t really make me feel better that you got accepted given your perfect GPA though haha. Jealous you found out so early! I applied in early July as well. No word yet… going crazy here!

I applied in may, how do u guys think I feel? haha!

got my rejection letter today and apparently i have to have a minimum of 60 credits as a junior…

weird. currently i have 50 right now and ill have 64 by the end of this semester.

“UF regulations requires that an applicant must have been elgibile for admission as a beginning freshman to be considered for admission as a transfer student at the freshman or sophomore level. you were not elgibile for admission as a beginning freshman. for admission at the junior level, you must have a minimum level of 60 transferable semester hours and meet the requirements set by the college offering your major”

call them and let them know! thats crazy!

I knew something was suspicious…1.) they don’t let people know decision that soon 2.) it’s suppose to be a next to guaranteed admission (not that I’m being cocky or anything but I thought they thought my grades were that horrible) I’ll give them a call tomorrow

definitely give them a call, that is weird! maybe they misunderstood! please let us know what happens david!

Theyve must’ve messed up my transcript or something

Probably. Did u tell them in your apllication that you were taking fall classes? They require for you to tell them which classes you will be taking for the fall and how many credits each course is.

yup I did that. On the relief side, they said nothing about my GPA, just lack of credits.

Hey guys! I applied for the College of Education a little over a month ago. 3.67 overall GPA, 4.0 pre-req. This fall I’m completing my AA @ Santa Fe. I know 3.67 isn’t stellar, but I had a really tough year last year because I hated UCF so much. I’m pretty nervous because I have never talked to anyone who has applied to the College of Education! I know it’s a limited access major, but that’s basically it. I have an insane amount of volunteer work relating to my major, though. And I know they love CC students, especially ones from Santa Fe. So I’m PRAYING! I do not know what on earth I’m going to do if they reject me!!!

good luck! :)
