UF decision 2012 Spring TRANSFER - accepted/denied

santa fe is a guaranteed admission to UF. or so ive heard.

apparently i was denied because i didnt send in my high school transcript…which i did. they said to resend it -____- should i even though the deadline has passed?

Oh I seriously wish it was guaranteed… but I don’t think so haha. It is definitely helpful, though!

And I would absolutely send your hs transcript! They know you sent your app in on time and it was just a misunderstanding. I had similar issues when I applied for the fall to CLAS and they were really understanding about it.

on a bright side, your GPA looks great

right after i called admission, my status went back to normal to “being evaluated”

if i may ask, how come you didnt like UCF? thats one of my first choices!

HI! I REALLY NEED HELP!

What do you think my chances are…

I was accepted in the Fall 2011, I went to UCF instead due to circumstances. I was thinking of applying again, but want to know my chances.

I have a 3.5 GPA 4 Withdraws :frowning: and 80 credits and would be a telecommunications major.

what do you all think?

Please help. :)

I just called and they said that they have started making decisions and they are updated about everyday at 8:00 pm so check into it and post back! I’m still waiting…I applied kind of last minute…(September 2)

Sent from my LG-P925 using CC App

Would one withdrawal hurt your chances?

thank you steelers girl! :)

woo! back in the waiting game :)

right, just checked. still nothing. if you guys get accepted what are you planning to do about housing? subleasing?

I remember reading somewhere that you will receive a written notice of acceptance. Is this in addition to an online notification or will you only receive a written notice?

I thought online acceptance came before the mailed acceptance…

@ David: UCF was AWFUL! Well, that’s my opinion anyway! There is just a certain feel about the campus I think. Like UCF & USF have this South Florida, new-ish, feel. They are more like a business, a commuter school, and newer. UF and FSU are old, have huge, historical campuses and just have this great atmosphere of I’m-at-college-and-I-love-my-college!
It’s sort of hard to sum up into words, but I was just not a fan of my experience at UCF.

I was told that College of Ed people find out late October! I haven’t even applied to any other schools yet… I should probably get on that.

poor me :frowning: I missed the deadline

lol ucf does feel too “new.” just doesn’t feel as… authentic?

Should proof of volunteer hours be sent to UF?

Would you guys consider USF a commuter school as well?

N to answer your question first schools post your acceptance online then you get a official letter in the mail.

To be honest, I should not have stuck USF in there with UCF. I really don’t know too much about USF. My good friend went there and she had a similar experience to mine. She made it sound like it was the same sort of atmosphere, but I don’t really know first hand if it was.

@ Fatz: I think it really depends college to college what you need to send in, but with my experience (CLAS & COE) you didn’t. If you do it should say it on their website.

@maybeagator: well i hope you’ll get into UF and like it
personally, i havent been to UF or FSU but UCF i have and i loved it. it comes down to personal preference. i know FAU is a commuter school as well and i wouldnt wanna go there. i always thought ucf was a college town (well on alafya and coloniel) since orlando is a big city

I know a lot of people that go to USF and for the most part they all commute. When we graduated HS most people that were going to USF were treating it like a community college in where they wanted to live at home for college. I’ve been there on weekend nights and it is like a ghost town, complete opposite of UF/FSU. Definitely has that “new” feel to it. I personally am not a fan, although I have had a lot of fun there before (which obviously isn’t the most important thing, but I definitely want that woo I love my college! exeperience).
