^
Oh no lol I wasn’t talking about the leasing thing, I was talking about the end of May thing.

Ok there seem to be some people in this thread that really seem to have what appears to be a decent idea of the pulse of the UF admissions process (like teb0w). What do you all think are competitive stats that someone needs to have if they want a real chance at being accepted? (I know this question is really subjective but just humor me)

Has anyone’s ISIS changed lately? I don’t know if mine said this before but it has:
2.0 OR BETTER REQUIRED IN ALL ANS & ASG CLASSES ATTEMPTED
EARNED:
HONORS AWARDED BASED ON UPPER DIVISION GPA
MINIMAL 3.50 GPA NEEDED FOR HONORS (HOURS=GPA)

With a green check next to it, does everyone else have this?

i would say a 3.6 or better with an associates from a florida community college, but even that might be border line, considering most of the people who have posted their gpas on here have had 3.8s to 4.0s. As others have pointed out , it also depends on the popularity of your major.

My admission screen still says the same old same old thing. I feel like an ass checking it everyday for the past 3+ months. To me, it seems a bit unprofessional on the school’s part not to begin to accept transfer students until late April, or May?!, or even…JUNE?!! I don’t know about you, but I’d like to know where the hell I’m going to be in 4 months. Ugh. frustrated

my isis has that as well…along with checks for clast, language requirement, and pre-reqs. i check my application status so much i’m sick of looking at that stupid page

My ISIS has no checks… it lists my major and pre-reqs but there are red X’s next to them (even though I did in fact complete the pre-reqs). Should I be worried?

Also… my admissions status has said that my transcript is “partial received” for months now. I always assumed that meant that it’s not complete until my degree is posted at the end of this term.

Does everybody else has ‘partial received’ for their transcripts?

yea i have partial and i talked to them about it and they said it was fine. Summer, what term are you applying for?

I’ve been following this thread for a while now, and was wondering if anyone knew the acceptance GPA for the college of Human Health and Performance @ UF? I’m attending SFC as of right now and wish to apply for summer A or B in 2010. My current GPA is 3.63, but will improve over the course of summer and fall. Does anyone have any information pertaining to this college, or my chances? Thanks for your time.

Generally anything to do with health is tough.

you know I never see anyone on here say they applied for college of engineering…thats supposed to be 2nd in popularity.

I thought about applying for chemical engineering, but I decided to stick to chemistry because I want to go to med school.

@bullybeatdown

“should definitely know by the end of may”

yes, some decisions will drag into may and possibly the beginning of june… just like last year… the same thing happened.

last year, most of the decisions were released mid - late april. even a portion of the uf website sites april 15th as decision day. Uf itself told a coworker of mine april 15th.

history does indeed repeat itself… everyone breathe.

rsala brings up a good point…this thread seems to be pretty medical major laden…I am a mechanical engineering major and I feel pretty lonely

That must mean that medical major are a little more diligent than the engineers.

i’m applying for fall 2009 to the nursing school…so not only am i applying to a more popular semester, to a highly competetive program, im also coming from a 4 year institution…
i was also accepted to UF as a freshman and i have family that go there now…i wonder if that will have any bearing on my application?

so i talked to CALS today and they said that Summer B apps would be out sometime before or on May 1st and then Fall apps would be started and the deadline for that would be june 1st but it would likely be before then.

still sticking with april 15 [:

The college is Human Health and Performance, but my major is sports management. If that helps any? I’ve heard you can get in with a 3.3 and have good recommendations. I have a 3.63 and improving and my dad, aunt, and uncle all went to UF. Is there anyone that knows anything about the college of Human Health Performance or my major Sports Management? Thank you

Check your mail!!! I received my letter of acceptance TODAY!!!

…

…kidding.

…still waiting :(

bmw - For a very quick, split second I freaked out. Then I saw the “just kidding” part. Hah.

This wait is killing me. Am I the only one who has been obsessively checking my admissions status all the time?
