…but not CLAS.
Great.

Just letting you guys know, I received an email from a CLAS official. She anticipates “…[CLAS] Fall 2009 decisions will be made within the next few weeks.” The college just started making decisions on April 1st, and they are making the summer decisions first because summer is quickly approaching. I was “…assured…” I will have a decision within the next few weeks.

good, then my summer decision should be coming soon… (b)

I made it into the CLAS
Political Science
I am from Florida Atlantic University with a 4.0
Congrats to everyone else who made it !

really lame how uf is accepting university transfers before notifying cc transfers

lame
lame
lame

Have you called UF? I just simply called and said I needed a decision or I would have to make a deposit at another school. Call them, it took them all of one day to make a decision once I called.

wouldn’t even know who to call or who to ask for…

my stuffs been completely done since december

laaaaaaaaaaaame

damn…December?
…Damn.
Jaime, that’s a risky move you did. In other words, you just demanded/threatened them to give you a quick decision.

yeah, i graduated with my two year in december. just needed to work more before i could afford the move.

obviously, i’d like to be accepted… it’s just this waiting game begins to play with your head.

i’m still holding onto my date of april 15th (next wednesday) as d-day so to speak.

transfer decisions were released on that day last year… the uf website states april 15th as the day… and a coworker of mine (same major as myself) said the date would be april 15th… he spoke with someone from CLAS.

i tell myself not to check until the 15th but everyday i check 3 or 4 times. my application has ben in since last August. i agree waiting truly sucks, and whats worse is everyone telling me oh don’t worry you’ll get accepted. I don’t want to think that way, i just wanna know!!! at least there is some progress

Last August?
Insane.

so, no <3.9 has been accepted as of yet.

I just called the FISHER SCHOOL OF ACCOUNTING about the application status, the lady on the phone said:" as for Junior transfer students, they can not make the decision untill the university give them the number of students they can admit this year."

I am an AA transfer student from community college, I applied to the FALL 09.
I told myself not to check the status untill the end of April, but I check it everyday! Crazy Crazy!!!

Actually, I am not so sure about the end of April…

^^^shangs im in the same boat as you…im waiting for fisher toooo…what are your stats??
im 3.9 overall…4.0 pre-prof…CC transfer

–m1e1m1
You are way ahead of me, my overall is only 3.78…pre-pro3.9

how do you calculate your pre-prof, is it all classes related to your major, or all lower division classes in the AA manual?

for example would algebra/trig count for an mathematics major, even though AA manual starts the classes from calculus1?

for example, I have A in all calc 123, and diffq, and probly linear algebra this semester, that is a strong 4.0 “pre-professional”

BUT if you include my first semester which I received a c+ in pre-calc, I believe my current pre-prof would be calculated as a 3.58, and 3.64 if you count this semesters grade…(but pre-calc, is not on the required tracking courses list so I don’t know really )

so what is pre-prof defined as exactly?

I’m not 100% sure, but i think pre-prof correlates to all courses you have taken that are ‘required’ for your major, not your gen. ed classes or AA electives. Since we are 2-yr AA transfers, most of us have probably only taken 2-4 core classes that would be classified as contributing to our “pre-prof courses”.

I was thinking, could it be that pre-prof is only used for determining eligibility, or is it actually calculated by them and used to weigh a decision?..wish I could actually figure out my pre-prof too…I would have to email UF to ask if Pre-req. to core courses count.

I’m pretty sure the preprof gpa is used in the decision making.
