<p>I finally feel the need to post myself since the frustration has really reached the tipping point. Apparently CALS has ONE person looking over all of the transfer applications for the college. That one person has yet to complete review of the Summer B applicants. They of course gave the whole you’ll know by june 1st at the latest BS. I have a feeling it might actually last till then. Anyone else in a financial bind because of their incompetence?</p>
<p>Well teb0w the fact of the matter is this. We are all UF hopefuls. Myself and others have posted information given to us and you have consistently belittled it. Despite what you think you know, we are sharing what we have been told. To clarify as well, I have stated that UF’s deadline to have fall done is June 1. They have assured me that they will be done b4 that but nonetheless that is their deadline. So yes, I do know the definition of eating crow. That’s why I told you to do so. I also have come to the realization that no matter what someone says to you, you believe you are infallible and I don’t expect that to change. </p>
<p>So anyhow… Congrats to those of you that have been lucky enough to hear something and good luck to those of us who have not. June 1 will be here b4 we know it!</p>

<p>It’s not a financial bind for me so much as a mental one. When I was at McCarty Hall today the lady promised it will not take until June 1 but that it is the only date she can give me. I applied for wildlife conservation. What major did you apply to?</p>
<p>Animal Biology. I’m coming from WVU and its a matter of having to register for classes up here that have already been filled, spending money sending applications to other FL schools so i can get my bright futures, I’m holding up friends at UF about getting a place to live, it just ends up affecting everything, and not to mention right as finals are coming up.</p>
<p>I’m just amazed that they have ONE person at the college looking at applications, I dont understand how a business as big as the University of Florida is that they can be so incompetent.</p>

<p>Well wvvet the kicker is that I have a friend who applied to Ag. Education for fall and she was notified by personal email from ms. mathews last Thursday, but when I went up there today I still get the June 1 deadline crap. I’m anxious as hell and can’t stand the wait. I already live in g-ville, so housing is no issue. It’s just this ridiculous wait.</p>

<p>as you, i am totally abashed such a significant academic institute can display such unprofessionalism when it comes to their admissions department. (i.e. one of those most important divisions at a university) UF’s lack of conducting their admissions process in a timely matter has burdened most with a flood of complications that would otherwise be easily taken care of. time sensitive issues such as locating housing, other school’s acceptance or down-payment deadlines, semester class selections, all while we all are approaching finals!!! i’m in a bind when it comes to the housing dept. because i had hoped to find a place sometime in April before i leave for an internship for the summer up north. ARG!</p>

I called CLAS and they were really helpful.
I asked when we are going to be receiving decisions and they said it’s going to be from now until April 30 AND it’s going to be a rolling admission procedure.</p>
<p>does that mean people who get their app. seen first have an advantage?</p>
<p>I asked that question, but she said that everbody’s application was thrown into a big pile, so no.
P.S. There are three people reviewing the applications as of now.</p>

<p>on a side note my friend had applied to college of engineering, saw him in class today…he didn’t mention anything about UF and i wasn’t about to ask so I guess he got denied or no letter in the mail like all other engineering applicants. =(, no denials posted yet</p>
<p>gatorgirl if only you knew, I’m trying to relax but let me put my situation into perspective:</p>
<p>-I applied to two summer research programs, one at UF college of medicine, and another at University of Michigan college of pharmacy. Both programs will notify me sometime in may.</p>
<p>-I applied to FSU and they told me I will have no decision until the end of may.</p>
<p>-I have to confirm whether or not I’m going to continue my paid research assistantship at my university ASAP.</p>
<p>-I have to confirm if I will live in Honors housing at my university.</p>
<p>-I have to confirm whether or not I will take classes here next year. And since my current major is so specialized, if I don’t enroll in the courses now, the classes will get cut.</p>
<p>So that’s where my head is right now. Imagine trying to be calm.</p>
