<p>I just recently visited the UF campus this weekend (FASC Conference :]) and I have to say the FSU campus is 1000 times better. Everything is so spread out at UF, the dorms are horrible and the atmosphere at FSU is so much more inviting. I say definitely, DEFINITELY go to FSU. Although I am prone to FSU (born and raised) I still say Florida State is better no matter what.</p>
<p>But if you like a more widespread community, then I would say UF. But if you want a more homey, welcoming atmosphere where all the buildings are in walking distance, then absolutely FSU!</p>
<p>FloridaStateLove, rumor has it that at the keynote address by Urban Meyer at the FASC state conference, there seemed to be more FSU fans than UF fans in attendance, and that he said something to the effect that he "needed to speak more slowly, given he was taking to future FSU students...." What was your take on this? Did he really say this or something like it? What was the reaction? Would love to here someone else's take on this...</p>
<p>^^^^I wouldn't put it past Urbie to say something like that. The guy loves to take shots at FSU, both publicly and privately. He has actually "turned off" many recruits with his constant negative recruiting involving FSU. FSU fans think the whole thing is amusing, considering that Urbie has the personality of a wet blanket. His “jokes” don't come across as witty, just a sad pathetic attempt at humor.</p>
<p>Well, that sounds like Sunday's "speech" alright (second hand info, I wasn't there.) But many in the crowd were not impressed with his style. FloridaStateLove, what was your take on his presentation?</p>
<p>From a future gator's perspective of the speech at the FASC conference, he did come off as being very arrogant and that first comment about FSU was surprisingly blunt and low. </p>
<p>The actual statement went something like: </p>
<p>"And since I know there are some future seminoles in here I'll do the same thing I always do when I'm speaking to them, I'll speak very slowly and clearly"</p>
<p>Hey good luck at UF Vincanity1! You are proof that not all Gators are arrogant, some are as nice as the 'Noles.</p>

<p>In my experience with UF students, maybe 30-40% of them are actually arrogant like that. I think the student body as a whole gets a bad rap some times. I think it's fine to be proud of being associated with such a good school, but you're right there are a few that might take it to an extreme.</p>
