Hi, I just got into Cornell with a note "pending satisfactory completion of courses in progress (As and Bs)." I just got my report card back and I did poorly on one elective class while makingired high grades in the required courses. An A in multivariable calculus, and a 78, 78, 84 in the humanities courses (I go to school in Canada, and an 80% is a "first class mark" (top bar) in the humanities).... but a 65, 4 points below avg in intro to ecology. My GPA is still well above 3 though. Am I safe?

I dont think you will have any problems. Call them up, tell them what happened. I would be shocked if they do anything. Funny they never made a conditional decision for me...

did they really write (As and Bs) in the letter? I was under the impression that "satisfactory completion of any educational course work now in progress" meant don't fail anything. I doubt very seriously that they would revoke your admission if you got a C.

Well the "As and Bs" was in parenthesis.... perhaps to explain what they mean when they said "satisfactory completion." it was on a note at the bottom of the letter.

I would call the admissions office and explain
