I am making plans to do one of the Make it Miami visit days. On certain dates I can do either the breakfast for the honors, scholars programs or the presidential open house, but both are not offered on the same days (that I can see). Does anyone have any insight on which would be more beneficial?
We chose to go to one of the dates that included the Presidential Open House. This was important enough for my son to rearrange some other plans. There are other times on the Make It Miami day-long itinerary that allowed us to meet with a rep from the Honor program (Honors Info session in the afternoon). Knowing we can’t do everything in a day, my son prioritized the Presidential reception/meeting with the department (info session and lunch group)/tour that includes a regular dorm and honors housing. We are attending on 3/9, hope to see you there!
We just attended this past weekend. Visit the presidential open house. Worthy of your time. Good luck

Do the two of you mind if I ask what the prevailing attire was for the Presidential Open House? I don’t want to be underdressed but don’t want to be uncomfortable in a jacket and tie if not necessary. Dresses for the ladies?
My daughter is looking to be a teacher and has been admitted for UASP in EHS with a decent scholarship. Would appreciate any comments/feedback on the UASP program and their curriculum for undergraduate teaching, to make a decision. Planning to attend the Make It Miami on March 30.
@pishicaca my apologies if I had not already replied. But we went casual. Nothing formal at all. Good luck and enjoy
@pishicaca Attire was casual - anything from slacks and jeans for parents, to khakis (or the female equivalent, I have a lot of boys) for students. It was crowded and the last event in a long day, so nice and casual would be appropriate. Have a great time!
