just out of curiosity, did you also have a super high ACT of above 34?? since a $6000 scholarship would make your tuition go from $10,000, which is ridiculously low to $4,000, lol talk about a college bargain..

yeah supposedly they just increased the tuition, which kind of sucks for people entering UIC Fall 2008...but 18 grand is still very affordable compared to other schools, which makes UIC stand out in terms of lower tuition, but is the quality just as good as Ivy league schools or schools like Wash U and NW?

Yes, my ACT was a 36. But thinking back on it, it was an Honors College thing, because it was signed by the guy that I will forever remember as that "passion" man.

erm..UIC is definitely not on par with ivies or washU, haha. It has it's own positive qualities but, overall, UIC isn't what people would usually consider a great school.

one more week! good luck to people who have 2nd interviews tomorrow. i belive thats the last of them :)

For new freshman, tuition went up about 10% from what I heard. That actually isn't as bad as some years. The UIC COM is an expensive public medicine college though.

yeah I just saw a news story on ABC7 News at 6, and they said most Illinois public schools including U of I, UIC, Southern, Eastern, and Northern are increasing tuition costs...

It will cost U of I students about $20,000 for room/board/classes.
It will cost UIC students about $10,000 with $9,000 for campus housing and room/board...

So that kind of stinks how all the Fall 2008 college students who stay in IL will have to pay more, lol glad I'm not staying in Chicago. It's spring break and snowing like it has been for few days...cloudy/rainy....lol that's Chicago!

good luck everyone, I bet your getting anxious to say the least:)

in the past people have checked their admissions status online on their GPPA app on the UIC admissions website . . . i wonder if it will work this year.

Last year they were able to see it on 3/30, which was a friday.
