UIC-GPPA.

that's especially weird because Mrs. Volpe told my Dad that they were trying to accomodate EVERYONE at Chicago this time

m1 at urbana, m2 and m3 and rockford, and m4 at chicago.

strange.

hmm, i got M1-M4 Chicago track and I definitely didn't submit my form till a while after the letter came out so I don't think its first come first serve

yeah its not first come first serve this year they said that.

this is so weird.

Could the assignments be based on rankings and academics?

M1-M4 Chicago

btw, what schools are you guys deciding between?

did anyone find out about honors college scholarships?

they came out awhile ago. i heard there were GPPA scholarships though--i think those come out after every1 has decided on colleges

i was deciding btw NU, Washu, Brown, Rice, GW, and various other medprogs

going to UIC because i got a full ride, plus a housing stipend...in state med school tuition...and my parents werent going to give me that much money to go elsewhere

can you still get into UIC regular curriculum if you got rejected for GPPA?

I have a question about GPPA -- approximately how many students in this program end up applying out? And of those who do apply out, where do they get into and do they decide to go there?

If rejected for GPPA, you can still be accepted by the regular colleges and/or Honors college.

so just wondering what was the average of the ACCEPTED GPPA member's ACT scores and GPA?

From what I hear, this program takes only people with 33 and above...but I may be wrong, just wondering if anyone below a 30 got accepted to Medicine?

And who were the lucky 4-5 that got into dentistry?

congrats btw

Has anyone scheduled orientation?
and if so, what are your orientation dates?

how many ppl did they pick for GPPA dent this year?

edit:
my ACT was a 33

hi, i have a question about orientation too.
i'm 90% decided on uic (i got in dentistry! but idk anyone else or how many other people)
but i hear that there's a day for orientation that gppa kids have to sign up for, june 11 or something.

is that true?

hey!
I got into GPPA dent too and i'm going there for sure.
No one told me anything about special orientation for GPPA students
I scheduled mine for june 5-6.
there are only orientations for regular and honors.
when you schedule your orientation, they should ask you, 'do you want to be in the orientation for honors college students only? or regular?'
I scheduled mine with honors college students. ^_^
btw, they have that for every orientation date.
hope that answers your question!

LAS Honors College has their own orientation. There were enough GPPA students in my group that we divided up along those lines for some activities.

ohh okay. thanks.
another question, though.
is it better if i schedule orientation with the honors kids?
will i be able to sign up for better classes?
and can anyone recommend classes/ teachers to sign up for as a bio major?

okay i lied about having one more question. hah
