I've read all of the derogatory threads on UIC, and that is not why I am posting.
I've made up my mind as to why I want to attend UIC, so please don't try to dissuade me from doing so.

That being said, if I do transfer to UIC it will be my second time transferring and I'm unsure that my essay is appropriate. I think I'm a strong writer (I hope so, since I'm an English major!) and I believe I explained my reasons for transferring twice well. My issue is whether of not my essay is too long and whether my topic is appropriate or not! It's about 1100 words, and I wrote about how traveling as a child affected my life and choice of major/transferring/schools, etc.

So, I would GREATLY greatly GREATLY appreciate it if anyone could take a look at it and give me some feedback. Might sound bad, but I don't really want to ask anyone at my current school, because it's quite small, and I don't feel like it getting around that I'm transferring. (I've also omitted the name of the school for this purpose.)

PLEASE reply if you would be interested in reading it, I think it's too much to put on a public post and I don't think I can attach a file. I will PM/Email you the essay.

Thanks thanks thanks,
in advance!
