UIC Urbana Nursing question

I would really like to attend UIUC. I am interested in getting a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, and I know that UIC has a program for nursing on the Urbana campus.
I know that you apply your sophomore year to UIC, and choose the Urbana campus option. (I would complete the two years of prerequisites as a UIUC student). I am pretty sure that it is less popular, and hopefully less competetive, to get into the program in Urbana opposed to the UIC campus.
Does anyone know how competetive it is for the Urbana campus? average gpa? I want to see how likely it is that I will be able to go to UIUC for four years (even though 2 years would technically be as a UIC student).

I don’t know much about UIC Urbana Nursing. For what I have heard, there are fewer seats. Also, you have to travel a lot more for rotations. You will need a car. The average GPA for Nursing is somewhere in the in mid 3s. I can’t imagine Urbana being less competitive.

It is very competitive. The year by niece was admitted I believe there were 32 spots available and she had all A’s when she applied. Above poster is correct in that hospitals where rotations are done are spread out geogaphically and you will need a car.
Best of luck.
