It means you were not deemed fit for computer science for some or the other reason and that is why you were admitted into department of general studies…nonetheless congrats dude for getting admitted

@shubhamargie: you got denied from CS, hence you were put into DGS, you have to earn some credits and suitable grades to transfer in sometimes later?

Is there any notification for scholarship or financial aid? are international students eligible for any kind of aid/scholarship? Thank you!

That must come later; my son didn’t see anything on his page. With a 36.0 ACT and a #1 in 400 class rank, I’d have to figure he would at least get James Scholar status.

Admitted to Aerospace Engineering. From Brazil Congratulations to everyone accepted and good luck to you all.

Thanks Shivam, TAHUNGANH and LoremIpsum (for replying in the other thread)
Initially I thought I wont get Computer Science because I’m in Division of General Studies. But knowing that I can work my way to it gave me a lot of relief.

Admitted for Electrical Engineering! =D

Strengths: Essays, ECs
Weaknesses: Yea, standardized Tests? Not my thing.

This is my first acceptance. I felt that I was going to be rejected by anywhere and everywhere I applied. I’m thriller I got accepted! Very happy and thankful! xD Let’s wait for the others now =D I congratulate all the other admits and those who got otherwise, God has a bigger plan for you =) Don’t lose hope!

i got accepted into Liberal arts and sciences, my first choice but now i want to do engineering…so what do i do? can i somehow transfer before going in the all or do i have to switch my major after a semester or so

AnthonyKim, it may well depend on your specific stats – it’s much easier to get into LAS than into engineering. On the other hand, more than a few of those with top stats will likely accept alternate offers. While the university adjusts for this with yield expectations to some extent, there may also be a waiting list should extra openings become available. Contact the school and try to develop an ongoing rapport with a person you can stay in touch with until the matter is resolved.

I should probably list my stats:

630 cr 700 m 550w - 1880 total, single sitting

730 physics
