You must meet an advisor in your department before they will unlock your registration. They won’t start these appointments until current UIUC students have started registration (next month.)

(I transferred last semester. It sucks to register after everyone else but you can usually get the classes you need.)

Hi everyone! I submitted my international transfer application on Feb 28th does this mean I have a disadvantage?

Also, they sent me an e-mail that asked me to send all the syllabuses of the course that I’m taking and have taken. Is the review process of my application gonna be after I sent my syllabuses? or it is currently on a review?

Thank you all.

Since they asked for all your syllabi they must have started reviewing your application. They are trying to determine how and if your classes will transfer.

As for the day of your application submission, it might. Since UIUC reviews applications on a rolling basis, submitting yours at a later date can potentially hurt your chances of getting in because of the number of available spots in a given school.

I also sent my sat subject tests including physics and math. Does that matter? The scores are actually pretty good.

Is anyone still waiting to hear their admission decision? I applied priority to business and my application hasn’t been updated online, it just says “your application will be reviewed shortly.” I know a lot of people already got accepted, so I’m thinking I got denied because I would have found out by now if I got in.

@vmachine , that’s really strange to not hear back from them that late. I would give them a call bc advisers were always able to tell me information I needed, which I wasn’t able to access online.

On the other note, when is everyone’s Admitted Transfer Student Day ?? Do we all have the same one? Mine is either April 15/19.

lfitasova2159 mine is on April 19 but I decided not to go since I’ve already visited multiple times. Did you sign up for orientation though? Cause that just opened up too and mine is on May 28th!

@UofI Dreamer, mine is April 19 as well, but i’m not sure if i’ll go either. Do you need to register before orientation?

Gracefavors: if you live less than 500 miles away, you are required to attend. You need to go to your admitted students checklist and register there.

Uofidreamer, where does it state that you are required to attend?
I don’t think that’s accurate.

My application was complete for two weeks or so until today. They asked me to submit my immigration status and I immediately send my copy of the visa. Does this mean my application decision will be available soon?

“I am an international or out-of-state student and cannot travel to campus in the summer. What options are available to me?
If you live more than 500 miles from campus you will have the option to do online advising or attend an August program date. You will sign up for a program through the same sign-up process as the summer dates.”

Oh, I thought uofidreamer was referring to the admitted transfer student day.

Does anyone know if they already sent out rejection letters to people?

I do not know exactly, but i’m waiting for my decision. I’m really obsessed about it and i check my status once in every 1 hour. Waiting is just terrible.

uofiapplicant Oh… I am referring to the actual summer registration which is mandatory (let it be online or in person). I am almost 100% sure that the Admitted Transfer Day (Friday 19th April 10am-230pm) is optional. Also it reads at the bottom of the invitation “Reservations are required. Please complete our response form by Friday, April 12 at go.illinois.edu/transferday or call 217333.0302.” and it does not mention that is is compulsory.

If in doubt you can always call the number they mentioned. If I happen to find out before I will post it.

Tsenguunee, what program did you apply for?

I applied for Civil Engineering. I submitted my app in late Feb

Well, I’m going to admitted student transfer day on April 19th. They told me I can also register for my classes that afternoon even though online it says I can only do it on April 22. Orientation! I haven’t even checked that one out yet! Thanks

I just signed up for May 28.
