Hey guys! I submitted my application to the college of business a few days ago(Finance major). Do you that I have a good chance?
Second year student at a junior college.
3.9 GPA.
85 semester hours at the end of this spring, including all prereqs.
Lots of volunteer hours, but no work experience.
And I think I wrote a great essay.
I’m also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, but I forgot to put it on my application. Do you think not putting that I’m a PTK member would sink me if I were borderline?
Thanks! Good luck to all still waiting for their decision and congrats to all that have been accepted!
I study at Parkland college, which is located in Champaign, IL. 4 students have been accepted today March, 6 2017. 3 Were CS, and 1 was Civil. I still didn’t receive my decision

I got in! Just checked my Dashboard and clicked the link to my app. The title turned into YOU ARE AN ILLINI even before the page loaded. There’s no email notification (not in my case), so check the portal often. I was accepted to Computer Science and Linguistics. Really looking forward to it!
@drjisper International transfer from an anonymous college. 3.80 weighted college GPA, which makes me one of the top 3 students in my school (Computer Science, about 200 peers). Several leadership positions in current school, a key member in organizing some community service projects, and Cabin Counselor in an American summer camp. I think my ECs helped a lot.
@EngineEstein hey congrats on your acceptance! When you applied, did you submit SAT scores? And have you met all the requirements for mechanical engineering transfer?
@ifnt7ju Thanks a lot. I applied on January 30. I only submitted college and high school transcripts along with TOEFL(for international students) I met all the requirements and even took two more technical courses beyond the required.
