<p>My intended major/college was Business college, but my status says I applied to</p>

<p>I honestly think it is my mistake for not noticing it for a while.. </p>
<p>So, is there any way that I can change my major or college if I get accepted into UIUC?</p>

Results already came out… so I think UIUC won’t change my major this time…

<p>Im almost positive you can, like 99.9% sure you can switch your major</p>
<p>Admission to the college of business is very competitive (I think it has the lowest acceptance rate at UIUC), so I wouldn’t count on being able to change my major to business. You can apply to transfer into business as a sophomore (I think you apply in the spring of freshman year), but no guarantees. </p>
<p>At least one person posted that he applied to business but on the status page it had DGS as his college - the consensus was that he’d been considered and rejected for business and was now being considered for DGS as an alternative.</p>
<p>Exactly what I was thinking. You may have been offered an alternate program of study if your original program was denied. At any rate, you will not be able to transfer in at least until fall 2013, and if you have less than 30 hours of semester credit done by the end of the spring semester, your transfer request will be evaluated based on whether you would have been admitted to the program in the first place.</p>
