UMass Amherst 2023 Decisions

are we supposed to check the SPIRE portal thing?

Son Accepted
In-state
CS - Explaratoty Track
1340 SAT, 4.0 weighted GPA

Accepted into psychology, in-state. Accepted into the honors college with Dean’s Scholarship ($2,000 a year). 7 APs, 34 ACT, 4.0 weighted GPA

@lgmccarthy A friend of mine applied for animal science and she got in today (in-state)

Are merit and honors college status listed in the letter itself, or separately?

Accepted in-state to psychology! my first choice was art though, and they said my major could change once they see my portfolio.

Accepted in-state to nursing and CHC!! with 2k Deans scholarship. 4.45/5 weighted GPA, 32 ACT, tons of ECs. I’m surprised I got into nursing because I don’t have any pre-nursing activites, volunteering, etc. Didn’t get an email, just was randomly checking. It wasn’t there at 7:05 but it was at 7:15.

Son accepted. Isenberg school
Instate - Norfolk county
SAT: 1350

For the people who are posting their acceptances, did everyone receive an email around 7 PM telling them to check their status? Or do emails seem to still be going out?

Just got accepted around 7 pm tonight. I got into Undecided-Natural Sciences track. I got a Chancellor’s award for 10l a year! I’m super happy about this because UMass was my first choice target school! ^-^
My stats:
SAT: 1250
GPA: 3.6/7 W
I have a ton of extracurricular activities: theatre, track, debate, anime club, writing club, etc. I also have attended many academic programs in the summer: a Spanish immersion camp, a CIT program, medical camp, and a summer academic camp at Yale. I’m seriously considering going here, I am a bit worried though that I won’t choose in time because I am also heavily waiting on Boston University and I’m afraid I won’t have enough time to decide. Do any of you guys know if we need to choose “yes” on the decision now or wait until we are ready?

Does anyone know the values of the Chancellor’s and Director’s Scholarships? Are they for out-of-state students only? (Edit: just saw the amount for Chancellor’s in the post above mine)

I just got accepted in-state to engineering and CHC, with a Dean’s Award of $2000/semester.

@CalinAmry You have until the same time as everyone else. I don’t remember looking specifically to see when that was, but most places are May 1 or around there.

Accepted Instate Economics. Applied for Isenberg. Happy to be accepted, but not sure what to do.
