Do you guys think a wave of decisions will be released tonight as well?
I hope it’s today cause they’ve been releasing the decisions on Monday
@NursingMajor7689, if you have good EC volunteer work then your stats should be fine.
fyi, we have not heard from UMass Amherst either but that is fine as it is no longer a top 3 for her at this time (unless crazy money is offered). DD OOS (legacy), EA Nursing application sent in 10/30
Good luck all !
For those waiting on nursing decisions, some info…
Per the admissions department, there were over 2,000 EA applications submitted for nursing, a program which has fewer than 100 available spots. Not trying to discourage anyone, but bringing some reality to the table. The competitive nature of these nursing programs is unbelievable!
Anyone get a decision?
The waiting is painful!! I was so hopefuly we would hear today
Just called Office of Admissions said that we will hear by middle to late January and that they release daily not only Monday as was reported previously in this thread. Truly a painful process!!
I’m starting to wonder why they even bother to have Early Action at all. This is painfully LATE action. At least UConn says “We have one admission. Regular. Check back in March”.
I hear you guys…still waiting!
We’re still here too SnowBunnyMom. Already accepted to a few but because of this long wait … applied to and scheduled a tour at UNH. Wow! My oldest goes to Umass Lowell and my middle transferred to UMass Amherst last year. I had no idea how frustrating this “early action” would be for Amherst. Personally, I feel like the lesson is that none of these colleges are the only game in town! For both parents and kids, reminder to all of us. You ( or your student) are smart. Sooo many things in life will define you. #CreamAlwaysRises!! Make no mistakes, if my son is accepted to Isenberg he will be totally pumped and we will celebrate with and for him. But we already have contingency plans in place. He knows that he has choices and will still be the author of his life story! I know I’m being preachy, but I’m really tired of how the college process has pressured kids so ridiculously so much. You are smart, capable young adults and so many of us are excited to see what your impact will be - regardless of where you go to school! Do something tonight, no matter how simple to recognize and acknowledge your successes and positivity so far! To all the young wonders on this thread - Good job You!! Breath! #CreamAlwaysRises!! #YouWillDoAmazingThings!
You are so right! My daughter was accepted early to UNH business, and we are considering it very heavily. She says she’ll go to UMass if she gets into Isenberg and feels the same way your son does, I appreciate and agree with the affirmations these kids should recite. I don’t think there’s any harder time of life, because they are so young and don’t have the perspective yet to know that they can forge their path…traditional or non. Good luck!
Hi, my son got in to the CS program, but we are OOS, so he was lucky enough to be in one of the first batches of acceptances. Hang in there!
@Ultima2019 I am OOS but I haven’t received my decision yet…
Good luck and Best Wishes to all these Great young people !! My son was accepted to 5 of the 6 schools he applied to. UMass Lowell & Amherst both honors programs, UNH, WPI and one other that I can’t remember. The only one that turned him down was Brown. In his interview with a Brown Alum it was inter-mated that he would be a great fit for Brown however he didn’t bring any ethnic adversary so case closed. Sad but true, not mad simply disappointed. He liked WPI however the cost is simply crazy with the $11K/year they offered him it’s still double what UMass Amherst is/year. So UMass Amherst here he comes class 2023 Actuarial Math Major. One proud Dad !!
Sorry for the typo in my last post !! diversity not adversary
@Myson Congrats to your son for all those acceptances. We’re still waiting for one. My D will be applying RD to UMass, so not expecting to hear that one for a while. Just wanted to mention that UConn has a well regarded Actuarial Scoence major, and residents of New England states can get in-state tuition for that major, thru the New England Board of Higher Education Tuition Break program. UConn’s application deadline is Jan 15, so there’s still time to apply.

Thanks momzilla for the info I will have my son look at UConn
@myson and @momzilla2D The tuition through that program is not the same as instate: Qualified students pay 175% of UConn’s in-state tuition cost. So without any merit it is about $10k more per yr than MA instate
@waf107 Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t realize that. Didn’t investigate it further once I realized my D’s major (Criminal Justice) isn’t covered at UConn.
@momzilla2D we considered it for the allied health program 2 yrs ago but didn’t think the premium was worth it over honors college at umass. That New England program is pretty good but I think only UMaine offers true instate tuition to OOS. The others offer something between instate and oos
