based on other years… it takes weeks and weeks for UMass to post all the decisions
I am going to call today after school to find out why I was admitted as undecided into the social and behavioral sciences school instead of Isenburg but still received 10k per year. I will keep you guys updated.
@Mom1997 will do. They said it might be 5-7 business days for them to respond, might just call them soon.
Is Everyone that heard back out of state?
I haven’t heard back yet and I’m in state. I’ve been told that if someone isn’t accepted into their first major, they are considered for their second major. If you aren’t chosen for that major either, I’m not sure what happens. Maybe you’re accepted into the school undecided?
i’m OOS and haven’t heard back yet… I applied nursing though, so maybe that takes longer since it’s the most competitive major. so nervous! congrats to everyone getting in!
S got in at 7:16 last night w/ a $12k chancellor’s award
Sports Management Major
- Out of State (NY)
- W:3.95
- HS does not rank
- ACT: 32 composite
- 7 AP/IB classes including senior year
- Lots of EC's, paid work experiences, volunteer work
It showed up on the portal right? I am out of state and haven’t heard back yet.
hey if i didn’t hear back yet is it a bad idea to ask when i may get a decision by emailing admissions?
D hasn’t heard anything yet, but has from UVM and U Maine. Mass Resident. This is driving me crazy
@violet139 I wouldn’t email them, Umass is weird with admissions. They should probably start releasing a lot today, especially in state. I heard that it would be in thirds, a third tonight, a third on monday, and a third within the next week or so.
look at last year’s decision thread…this process takes many weeks… there’s nothing you can do to speed it up, there were EA students still getting decisions in Feb…it just started a couple days ago
so in state today night???
I am out of state and I have not yet received my decision yet either.
also out of state and haven’t heard anything - btw i tried to call undergraduate admissions the call said “due to our high call volume we can’t answer at this time” and they hung up :-/
They always have that message!!!
So does anyone actually know when decisions are supposed to be released (informed by a guidance counselor or anything) or is this all speculation?
@student1321 they’re releasing chunks at a time - so we could potentially be waiting until the end of January.
Other than student (or parents) reporting their own specific results, most everything else is speculation.
I’m class of 2022 and I heard back yesterday, December 14, that I was accepted EA with a scholarship. I’m out of state with a 27 ACT and 3.41 GPA.
