Personally Id go UDEL because there business school is more recognized and I think that they try to help you out. BUt idk much about umass.

There is very little difference in the B School rankings between the two. [Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2012 - Businessweek](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

Go to the cheaper one.

surprisingly enough, these are the undergraduate business rankings at USNEWS. Umass ranks well above Delaware. While, Delaware ranks over Umass on BusinessWeek

If you’re motivated to get a good business education, then it doesn’t matter; you can get a good education at either school.

If you’re motivated to get a piece of paper with the minimal amount of work, then it doesn’t matter; you won’t get a good education at either school.

So I’d go with whichever is cheapest.

Great advice, and I agree.

But I guess its also a question of which school will help me land a good job after graduation.
I plan on living near NYC.

I also think it’s worth noting which schools are “up and coming”.

Im considered going to Baruch College, but I want to enjoy the benefits of a non-commuter school.

I say UMass. They’re both on the same level, but personally I think UMass, especially Amherst, is a better school, especially if you’re doing the honors college. Even if you’re not, I still stick w/ UMass.

They’re both good schools.

UDel is more competitive, in terms of admission. I applied to both. UMass accepted me, but UDel didn’t.

If weather is a factor, keep in mind that UMass weather is going to be very cold.

Both campuses are nice. UMass is more woody. There are alot of fields, and trails for bike-riding. UDel seems more suburban, and is surrounded by a small town.

Have you visited both schools? Sometimes you can base the decision off whatever feels right for you when you step on campus.

I’ve visited Umass but havent had the time to visit Udel. Does it still make sense to visit Udel now that the school year is over?

@emmacolette Did you end up going to Umass, is it true the classes arent even remotely challenging?

Go visit U Delaware even though school is not in session. I think you will still find it worthwhile to see the layout of the campus. If you like both, apply to both and see how it works out.

You may want to look into a school like Marist in Poughkeepsie which has business majors and at which NYC companies recruit or perhaps SUNY New Paltz or Fairfield in Connecticut as other alternatives. Now is the time to visit and see if you like the locations. I know Fairfield and Marist have great merit scholarships and New Paltz is reasonable for out of state.
