@fallschurchmom‌ what state are you from?

I live in harford county maryland, very anxiously awaiting the mailman!!!

@Putterer - Thanks!

@annikumquat - We live in Virginia.
Attending Admitted Student event on Friday…five schools still on his list, hoping it helps him narrow down his great choices!

@fallschurchmom, We’ll see you there on Friday!

Happily suprised with 5k a year! 1450/2120 and a 4.26/4 W

I am so excited…President’s Scholarship or 48,000 over four years!!!
SAT 2110, ACT 32, GPA 4.89 W, 4.0 UW, EC’s, some leadership, great essay, I hope strong recommendation letters.
UMD is my first choice. I was wondering if there are any additional engineering scholarships that would be available.

Received President’s Scholarship notification in the mail in Michigan today. Homeschooled, 2370 SAT, 4.0/4.36 GPA, 11 APs, high SAT subject test scores, lots of leadership and some other unique ECs. I was hoping for Banneker-Key, but this is still an honor! I applied last-minute, so my essay wasn’t fantastic.

Yay Presidential Scholarship $48,000 over four years  Glad for this after no B/K

DS got the Dean Scholarship, $4500 a year for two years. SAT 1460/2090, 4.6 Weighted GPA and 11 APs. I have never heard of a 2 yr scholarship, is it new this year?

So excited! Presidents Scholarship 12,000/year!
ACT 34, GPA 3.94 uw, OOS (minnesota), lots of AP’s, EC’s but not a lot of leadership

maybe now I can convince my mom to let us fly out for an accepted students day

Son got letter today, $20k total for 4 years. ACT 35, GPA 3.72/4.29, 11 APs, class officer, NSA internship. Hoping for something from the Clark School as well.

DD got letter today: $20,000 over 4 yrs. 2300 SAT/3.75 uw/9 AP’s. The Presidential Scholarship awards vary so widely - wonder why?

All I got in the mail today was a confirmation letter for my living learning community for the honors college. Does that mean there is no hope of any merit aid for me? I have a 33 act, a 95 unweighted average, and 9 ap classes (10 exams), and pretty good ecs. I live in New York.

@mwm247 the LLP letter was in a different envelope than the merit award. Both were delivered to our house on the same day but perhaps yours will arrive separately - good luck!

President’s Scholarship $32,000 (8,000 per year) for 4 years, SAT 1410/2030, ACT 32, GPA 4.3(w). We are out of state.

$20,000 president’s scholarship, 1560/2340, 3.94 UW, Top 5% of class, 13 APs, In state

Do OOS CP Scholars ever get scholarships?

In state D got $1500 for freshman year only. 1430/2150, 3.96/4.5. So now in state flagship is more expensive than some equivalent out of state and private options. Oh well…

Son got letter about $48000 Presidential scholarship over 4 years. OOS (MA) 3.87 UW/ 4.75 W, 10 APs, 4 college courses.
CS Honors, ACES LLP

I am just guessing that these awards have a lot to do with whether you have applied from out of state or in state. I was surprised that my in state senior did not get a B/K award, his stats are really high along with Varsity letters, Eagle Scout, a ton of 5s on Aps and graduating in the top 2% at his school. But if Maryland is to be believed, this year is the most competitive they have ever seen. When the tuition is less than $10,000 per year, I guess a smaller award is understandable.
