I don’t know anything about Miami scholarships, can you say more about what your situation is? How do you know you are being considered and how do you know that’s guaranteed admission? Trying to learn more about the process at Miami.

Does “The U” yield protect and if so what do we think the percentage rate will be of acceptance to deferments? Thoughts

I am afraid the ability to change majors must mean something. At the very least it is dependent on which major you choose. My kid can not change and she applied for math. In that case, it means “something” but has no relation to admission. It just means certain schools shut down changes. The thinking for the two meaningful thought patterns would be:
- Rejected kids - they do not want you changing your major now and then coming back and saying “wait I applied to XYZ major”
- Accepted kids - they have acceptance by major and do not want you changing

@jacobjmusk The applicants with the top stats were sent emails to send in essays to be considered for the Premier scholarship. I would say those students are pretty much in. That doesn’t mean if you didn’t get the email that you don’t qualify for other scholarships though. The Premier is the most selective of the merit based scholarships. Good luck!
@planostudent1234 Thanks! Honestly not sure how to read into this. It seems some people with the high stats can change, others who are even Premier scholarship candidates, can’t. Who knows? I’m so anxious. Good luck!
