How is UMich Honors program?
I know you get some perks like South Quad housing, some free lunch meetings...
I also know that you take the Great Books classes.
However, I was wondering aside from those, is there anything else great about the Honors Program.
Are there specific classes for certain subjects (like Math, Psych, Chem) that only students in the Honors program take. Are there classes that can be used toward a major that have smaller class sizes?

Honors is cool because it gives you a smaller community, you get special advising, and you have Honors events and classes. There are a lot of classes offered just to Honors students, or often Honors discussion sections to regular classes. Also, Honors classes are usually smaller and the other students are most likely to be academically engaged. You do have to take 8 Honors classes in the first two years, but it’s not too hard to do because you can also convert regular classes into Honors by doing a little extra work.

I can’t remember off-hand what classes are offered as Honors, but there are quite a few. And they will generally have smaller class sizes.

Can a Canadian get accepted into Honors or is it only for domestic students?

anyone in lsa can apply to honors

Do a search?
