My son received $15K / year merit which brought the total cost much closer to the cost of a UC, and is the same merit amount that the calculator estimated for him. He received his merit offer in postal mail, several weeks after his acceptance. His merit offer still doesn’t appear in the UMN online portal. Look for it in your physical mailbox. Good luck!

My in-state daughter applied EAI on 10/21, followed by an email to admissions to request 2 letters of recommendation be added to her app. She rec’d a reply confirming those ltrs were added. Rec’d email 10/28 confirming full app completed. 1st choice COE & Human Dev. Did not submit ACT, limited AP courses, about 3.73 GPA. She rec’d email at 7:13pm central tonight to check the portal. She got in to her first choice program! Good luck to those still waiting. My daughter was on the bubble and she was losing faith. Will never know for sure, but I think her essays and rec ltrs were a huge help.

Yes - my son is, applies 10/18.
Good to know an email was sent to them to check their portal. Some colleges don’t do that.
The letter that my son received actually said something like “Scholarship Award” in very conspicuous letters on the envelope, so hopefully it would be hard to miss.
Is anyone attending the admitted students day on April 1?

My daughter applied EA1 for Civil Engineering. Out of state (Texas). She received her acceptance 2 days ago on Monday, Jan 9th. We were beginning to wonder.

Any CDES applicants out there that have heard back? Daughter applied EA1 and we’re still waiting.
My daughter just received her acceptance into CSOM! We are OOS, and she applied EAII. She didn’t expect to hear from them until mid-February, so this is a nice surprise.

this is the program i want to get into. i applied october 30th for early action 1, still havent heard back. do you mind me asking your son’s credentials so I may get a rough idea of where I sit in regards to being admitted?
Applied as international student test optional.
School does not calculate GPA. He did 10th IGCSE 7A* 1A. Now in IBDP program Physics and Chemistry HL predicted 7, Maths A&A HL predicted 6, Eng predicted 5, Business SL and foreign language predicted 7
