I applied early action as an out of state resident two weeks ago today on October 19th. My first choice major is in the school of agriculture and my second choice major is in the liberal arts school. My ACT score is 26 and my GPA is 3.73 and I have lots of extracurricular activities along with two jobs. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take to receive my admission decision? I understand some people have already gotten their decisions.
hello! I applied in late septempber (9/26 I think) and just got my acceptance for CSE on monday. I think it was updated sometime last week, but I haven’t been checking. I think 3 weeks to a month is about the norm, even with competitiveness of schools like CSE. with agriculture and liberals arts, I’d think you’ll have your decision sometime in the next two weeks. good luck!
Actually, the way that UMN admissions have rolled out in the past is that the candidates with the strongest stats get their decisions first. That means that even if your stats are within the averages for your admitting college, others who may have applied AFTER you may get a decision BEFORE you. I would not read much into this. @audrella, your stats and application are fine for CFANS so you will probably hear well before the Jan. 31 notification deadline, if things are like prior years.
Good luck to you and keep us posted!
