My son received the decision about 30 minutes ago, accepted to CSOM, GPA 3.70UW, SAT 1390, International. So glad we don’t have to wait until January
My son (OOS, computer engineering) received notification of a merit scholarship yesterday ($10,000).
My son too! Congratulations!
Congratulations!!
Daughters application was completed 11/3 - received acceptance today (12/30), she was notified via email of a status update
OOS, college of liberal arts, 1370 SAT, high ranking high school, they do not calculate GPA or provide ranking, took mainly honors, AP (6-7), dual enrollment, leadership, scholar athlete, lettered in cheer and AVTF, solid ECs, solid grades
My daughter was accepted to the school of nursing, received $15,000 year scholarship. We are out of state. Visiting in February for final decision, hopefully not too late for decent housing if we wait until after our visit?
You can apply for housing now and get in the queue. I think it’s only $50.
Oh, ok, thanks!
Has anyone applied by Early Action II (December 1st) received a notification of acceptance? Just curious if it’ll take until the February 15 date or it can be sooner?
I saw in reddit thread, people who applied for EA II received decisions.
Still waiting for a decision from EA1, applied Oct.15.
Ok. We’ll have to be patient then.
Son received acceptance for College of Science and Eng (Comp Engg) On 20th Dec. International applicant
S23 just got accepted to CSOM! We are OOS from NJ. Applied on 10/16.
Ok, we (son) are finally in. Applied 12/01. Received answer 01/09 for CLA. In order to make this work as OOS, we’ll need some merit aid before we can commit. I graduated in 1997 so I have a special affinity to this school.
What school were you accepted to? What time were you notified?
CLA- I updated my post with the dates (received an update ~2 PM Pacific) He wants to study law eventually. Major Global Studies. We live in California so in order to attend it’ll have to be more affordable. We are waiting for the UC admissions now to make the final choice.
Did you run the net price calculator? Even though the web page says it is only for need-based aid, I read on this site that it also estimates merit, and it does (to some extent). We are OOS (also in CA) and are not eligible for need based aid. The merit scholarship estimate was spot on for my son. https://admissions.tc.umn.edu/cost-aid/cost-aid-and-scholarships
I applied 11/1 and still waiting (in state). CSE 1st choice, CLA 2nd choice. Anyone else out there still waiting from EA1?
Oh wow- thanks for this resource. I’ll check it out. We are also not eligible for need based aid but the OOS 52K sticker price is too high.
