With ACT 36 and SAT 2330 and UW gpa 3.99 and tons of APs, ECs with research, expecting some merit scholarship as we do not qualify for FAFSA. anybody got invite to Shipman or stamps?

No news of Shipman yet.

I got a $1500 math scholarship-- anyone else? A bit disappointed it isn’t a higher amount, but there were supplemental materials I didn’t send to Mich anyway, so I shouldn’t be complaining. :P

Is the Jean-Fairfax scholarship only for OOS students? I haven’t heard of any in state students getting it yet…

I’m not sure if it is only for OOS students, but I am in fact OOS.

No news of Shipman or Stamps here either (in Maryland) for anyone I know or myself… I’ve been checking my mail anxiously everyday and then checking this forum to see if anyone else has heard so I know if there is still any hope that it just hasn’t been sent yet. Based on the fact that no one has really posted about anything besides Jean Fairfax, I guess I’m just hoping that this year’s merit aid schedule is running later than usual?

So wish S would get SOMETHING, but not feeling hopeful… just so many kids who have stats just as great or better. And with no break in the OOS tuition, UMich just will not make sense for us, no matter how great it is… :(

We’re in the same position. I feel very bad about it because UMich is my son’s first choice. Wish we lived in Michigan.

Anyone hear anything from Shipmans?

Do you have to be EA to get merit?

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using CC

I just found out I got the Engineering Scholarship of Honor! I’m OOS, so that’s 20k/year. Pretty sneaky of Michigan to make the deadline March 27th though (the day before Ivy notifications). Money is a big issue for me, so I wish I could see all of my offers…

If you got a scholarship, go ahead and POST THEM STATS for the world to see.

And congrats, coffeeandtea!

Coffeeandtea… Awesome news! How were you notified, and yes, do you mind sharing your stats?

“Pretty sneaky of Michigan to make the deadline March 27th though (the day before Ivy notifications).”

Engineering at Michigan is equal to or better than ANY Ivy league school.

Got an Engineering Honor Scholarship, 20k/year, admitted OOS EA. Real happy about it!

Congratulations that’s incredible!

Still no word about Shipman’s for anyone I know. Wish some news would come already.

rjkofnovi: It’s more of an issue of comparing aid packages. I know Michigan is great.

granipc: I got a letter in the mail. I’ll post stats later, I’m too lazy right now. I have my stats in a recent post though if you want to see sooner.

Coffeeandtea, and where were your stats posted?
