Hey. I am curious if you got in or not? I just want to know if I am wasting my time trying to apply to a school I might not get into. (I also want to transfer to UNC from IU Bloomington).
My stats are similar to yours. SAT: 1850, ACT: 26, college gpa: ~3.8, HS gpa: ~3.8 (unweighted).
As for EC’s I joined a medical club and neuroscience club (premed and biochem major). I am also part of an honor society and I’ve also been volunteering at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Cancer Center doing research for about 12 months (I return every summer). Additionally, I’m pretty sure I can get (2) great letters of recommendation.
Would you mind telling me if I have a chance? I would greatly appreciate any input.
Thanks.

@jmelon Kill it on your ACT retake, and you should be golden!
@criesinchinese don’t worry too much. I was in a similar situation as you. my HS GPA was 2.7 uw and i spent three semesters at a CC with a 4.0. I did not retake the ACT/SAT, in fact, i did not even submit one. I got in with the 2017 pool. keep building a good resume and you will get in.
